I believe the 186 has a separate requirement to work for your nominating employer for at least 2 years after the visa grant (this will appear to be in addition to the 3 years already completed on your 494 visa) but I may be wrong. 2. No age limit to study but beyond that, you cannot apply for any of the other skilled migration visas - even the post study work visa is not available to anyone aged 45 and above, therefore the options I mentioned in this video will be your best bet.

Only if you meet the high income threshold and/or you are nominated by an Australian scientific government agency to work as a researcher, scientist, academic worker such as a university lecturer, faculty head or medical practitioner.will you qualify for the age exceptions.
The best hack is to apply for NZ PR which has a 55 year age limit. After 5 years apply for Kiwi citizenship then move to OZ on a Special Category (subclass 444). After 4 years residence on that visa you can apply direct for OZ citizenship and bypass the PR process.
