You can ask literally any EV fans what they think of the Mach-E and most will point to a lot of different cars as being way superior to it and your argument that the car depreciated almost 50% or more in 2 years is a good sign...oh boy. There's plenty of comparison videos going along, the Mach-E has terrible real-life range, it's a sporty car but I'm super curious what happens when that battery degrades, you'll be stuck with a sports car that has 100 miles on it, great...
This isn't a good EV no matter how you put it. There's better alternatives, it's still a Mustang but it's probably targeted at the people who are EV skeptics that's why it lacks most technologies a current EV has and still has traditional car items.

Then, "in only a couple years it's come down from $50K" - So, in a few more years it's going to be a $8K car - or $5K car because it needs a new $12-15K battery and has depreciated even further than other EV's, killing any chance of repair (cost to repair too high) or resale. No thanks.

Cheapest 2021 Edge in the US is 14,500$
Where's that 50% you were spewing?
Must suck for the Edge owner, lost 65% in value AND had to pay a ton for fuel and maintenance

The reason for the depreciation is that EVs are not selling, carlots are broke out with EVs not selling. Most Americans are not buying into the EV bs. Why buy the inconveniences of an EV when for the same or less money you can buy a conventional car without the charging inconvenience of EV. EVs gain you nothing but more trouble in our already complex life. If you like a gimick, buy an EV.

      Inconvenience? How exactly?
Most Americans travel less than 30 miles each day in their car. So the range anxiety is unwarranted fear mongering from anti-EV narratives.
EV’s don’t need to stop at gas stations. Most EV owners charge at home while they’re asleep. For as little as $2 for 150 miles of range depending on local electricity rates.
EV’s don’t need oil changes, transmission flushes, spark plug replacements. WAY less maintenance.
