Back when wrestlers looked like men and not high school students. Back when wrestlers knew how to give promos and didn't have to recite scripts written by somebody else. Back when wrestling was presented as legitimate sport and not half assed comedy with a bunch of acrobatics. Every thing about this is far better than what passes for wrestling today.
Lars Anderson and Mr. Wrestling 1...two of the underrated stars of GCW back in the day. You look at Ole, Lars, and Arn Anderson. No real relation to each other but they could easily pass as brothers. That's great talent hunting.
There is an old picture on the internet and it's Gene, Lars, and Ole from 68 or 69 and all of them are clean shaven and look the same. Gene, Lars, Ole, Arn, and CW all wrestle alike.
Meh , none of them looked liike Gene . Gene was the original and only Anderson . LARS was Larry Heineme and OLE was Alan Rogowski , ARN was Marty Lunde .

With that sculpted body that 98% of the other wrestlers didn't have, you know he could stomp ole'es guts out if only they didn't adhere to kafabe. He didn't have the microphone skills like Anderson, but he didn't need them once he took his shirt off. Lol, I'm such a mark for Atlas, been a fan since I watched him wrestle in Carrollton ga. As the masked " black Atlas!"
Mr Wrestling was rumored not to be Tim Woods here . It may be true because long after Tim Woods unmasked himself to get a World title shot , he was called Mr Wrestling Tim Woods or Tim " Mr Wrestling " Woods . They never say that in regard to this guy .
4:36 That dude is doing a horrible impression of Dusty Rhodes. But that first promo with Tony Atlas has to be one of the best Tony ever did. Tony sold it.

Ole was the third Anderson . Lars was the second . Ric Flair was the 4th , Arn was the 5th and Zan Panzer/ Bryant Anderson was the 6th . There are no more Andersons . To me Arn should kayfabe some Nephews , The Anderson Brothers .
