the wire that you have ran to the ac control wires where did you hook that up on the head unit wiring harness?
That was hooked to the 12v acc turn on
What if I have one orange with no orange to connect to ????
So with this install does the radio stay on after u take the keys out and only go off when u open the door? That’s how it was with the original radio.
No mine goes on/off with key ignition. This is how my stock radio was

So I don’t have the red splice wire you got. can I just get a wire and have a T-splice on either end then tap into each wire, will that work?
Edit: I’m talking about the accessory wire on the AC controls and the red wire on the wiring harness
Just find a wire that or stock accessory that has power when key is turned on
@powerstroke pat does your radio stay on for 15 mins or does it cut straight off
Im not sure what you mean by that? It turns off seconds after I turn key off or open door

Do you have to have the dash kit if your unit came with mounts?
I purchased dash kit and harness separately from radio
DOD you have to buy dash kit or did it come with the stereo
I bought dash kit separately. It was $16
How did you wire up the ground to the actual radio?
Are you referring to allowing the playback of media on the unit? I just grounded the wire to the chassis of the unit

Not on this unit, this unit is a basic radio. the unit i have in my f250 can. I use android auto

Okay appreciate it. Yeh I’m just in the 11th grade I drive a 03 cat eye and my radio quit on me and I blew me amp up to my subs. So I been trynna save to buy a new radio and amp.
Why is the dash kit and wiring harness so cheap compared to others? I went to Best Buy and they wanted to charge me close to 200$!!!!
Because they have to mark up the price to make profit. If you buy it direct you skip the middle man. same dash kits and quality

Did you follow the wiring harness instructions? speaker wires are color coded and some have a little black line on them. make sure they are all connected to the proper wire
@@Powerstrokepat i did i put everything as it should with same color and lines it does turn on but there is no sound

@@Xviiir004 no that wire is antenna power older cars that had electric antennas if i remember correctly. Is the unit getting power at all? does it light up?
@@Xviiir004 Does your truck have a factory bose system or system with a factory amplifier? that could be your issue.
