I think there is a full version of the Melee theme Nintendo is hiding from the world. Also the back vocals at 1:38 sound more like how the Brawl remix does that part despite this song overall being very accurate to the original Melee theme. I wonder if there is a beta of Melee's theme that sounds like that with the vocals more?
Now that we have Smash Ultimate, I imagine the opening a bit differently with added characters and different scenes. Like the shot with Bowser, I imagined the Koopalings beside him and Rosalina, Palutena and Sheik next to each other
Always imagined at around 1:39 it would show Rosalina in the cosmos bringing the Geno doll to life and/or Sora flying through the night sky. I’d honestly love to see someone animate a new Melee intro with this theme and using the Ultimate characters

Melee to be my least favorite Smash Bros. title as all of the other games just do more for me, but... man, even I can't deny that the soundtrack this game has is amazing. And this arrangement of the opening theme almost rivals that of Brawl's for the title of best main theme in the entire franchise if you ask me!

I don't know why. But one thing's for sure, of all the games I've ever played, Melee definitely is at one of my top five...

Every smash game is amazing, but Melee’s opening is the best. Brawl’s was amazing, but Melee’s was and is still mind blowing. The composition, the sound, the sound effects, everything. Melee may not be my fav, but it’s op definitely is.

This is the original version compared to the version used in game that was slightly abridged and pitch inflated.
