En mai 2019, Tale of Fantasy a eu le plaisir de collaborer avec le Chœur du Gymnase de Morges et l’Orchestre Jubilus dans son premier projet d’envergure : le concert “Épique et Fantastique”. Sous la direction de Thierry Daenzer, ce programme s’axait autour des musiques de jeux-vidéo, et visait à faire découvrir l’univers de l’Epic Music à nos spectateurs.
Qui aurait cru qu’un jeu qui permet à la Princesse Zelda de se battre contre Mario ou Pikachu puisse avoir une bande-son aussi grandiose? C’est visiblement le cas de Nobuo Uematsu, le compositeur du Main Theme de Super Smash Bros Brawl. Placé dans la cinématique d’introduction, ce morceau est là pour rappeler au joueur que, malgré les mélanges improbables qui font collaborer ou s’affronter de nombreux personnages de différentes licences Nintendo (ou d’autres studios), le jeu est extrêmement sérieux dans ses mécaniques et dans son histoire.

À propos
Tale of Fantasy est la première association suisse dont l’objectif principal est l'interprétation et le partage de l’Epic Music. Ce genre regroupe les musiques de film (Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Howard Shore…), de jeux vidéo (Nobuo Uematsu avec Final Fantasy, Koji Kondo avec Super Mario Bros et The Legend of Zelda, Yoko Shimomura avec Kingdom Hearts, …), ainsi que des productions originales (Two Steps from Hell, Audiomachine, Position Music, …).
Tale of Fantasy est constituée d’un chœur et d’un orchestre, tous deux composés de passionnés d’Epic Music, qui donnent tout pour partager leur passion. Notre activité principale consiste en la réalisation et en l’exécution de concerts en lien avec notre genre musical, mais nous nous sommes diversifiés et avons également réalisé des enregistrements vocaux et vidéo, que tu pourras retrouver sur cette chaîne. Nous sommes également présents dans des conventions suisses, comme Japan Impact par exemple!

The BEST version i’ve heard of this song so far. The strings were perfect, no audible mistakes or tempo mistakes I could notice, and the choir was really good

I’ve been playing this game since I was like 7 and never had one cover of the main theme ever given me the chills the real Intro does this was phenomenal and I can’t wait to listen to more music performed by these excellent musicians
1:43 "socii sunt mihi, qui olim viri fortes revalesque que erant" brings me so much nostalgia from the wii days

This is AWESOME!! I wish me school district could afford to have an orchestra instead of just a concert band. But one thing, though: are there any baritone singers in this choir? I didn't hear any and they're my favorite part of a choir...

I can see how the intros done by the composers. Of final fantasy 7 i mean sethiroths theme is a Latin chorus same as brawls except without the "dispar" and "anger" and stuff
