Exploring an Abandoned Railway Tunnel in Peebles | Neidpath Tunnel, Neidpath Castle, River Tweed

In a leisurely start to 2022 Alistair ventured to the Scottish Borders to the pictureque town of Peebles for a walk along the banks of the River Tweed. This walk is about 10km with little ascent and takes in the interesting sights of Neidpath Castle, and remnants of the abandoned railway network including an abandoned viaduct and abandoned train tunnel.

We did this yesterday but got lost in the woods and ended up going through the tunnel twice 🤣🤣🤣

The part coming over the hill isn’t the easiest to follow. I probably should have made it clearer but we just basically walked through the tunnel and then turned around and went back through it. Hope you still enjoyed the walk!
