I got back from staying here for two nights with my daughter, it was magical, scary, breathtaking, incredible. I will never forget it and it will always b our best experience, we will keep traveling but This castle will always hold a huge place in our hearts. Holy shit did I just write this on a one year anniversary? Spooky! I did to the day! Wow, that says something!
This is a castle of ghostly gloom and doom and it is. In the window her ghost looks out it like a Banshee with her ghostly loss on a mortal coil. Let no ghost leave it's haunted house.
Oh I feel a distinct desire to visit this place & 'talk' to the lady.....she deserves to know some feel for her pain. Not sure if I would 'chicken out' if allowed to try of course......I remember visiting Dolbedarn Castle (a Welsh Prince's tower) in North Wales around 1970 when my 4 kids were small....it was open to the sky, but the walls were mostly intact.....my eldest son, an imaginative kid, about 7 yrs old at the time, suddenly asked me if I had seen 'the man standing in the corner' ? Nobody was there, but a strange chill seemed to come over the place & we skedaddled very fast ! He still maintains now at 55 yrs old, that he did see someone quite clearly for a few seconds !
