I would if I lived in New York. Try watching some of her other interviews. You might be surprised. When I first heard about her running, I felt the same way as you do. I thought, "how ridiculous, another actor running for political office." Then I started listening to what she was saying and she completely changed my mind.
For An Angel I felt the same way. I'll volunteer for her. Cuomo is s corrupt fraud. She can and will do better than him.
Wow how can the media be this transparent. This interview was so condescending TO ME! To the viewer. What are her policy positions? What is she willing to fight for? What is she standing up against? These are the only questions any candidate running for public office need answer.

I could never ever vote for any party that would give AMNESTY to 10's of millions of illegal aliens since we already tried Amnesty before in 1986 and it only encouraged millions more illegal aliens to come here illegally.

The questions she gets asked are infuriating! When men want to run its “good luck buddy!” No questions about it being their first time. But over and over she has to defend her decision to throw her hat in the ring?!! Go Cynthia!!
Vote Cynthia, but I wish they spent time on her policies, she is not taking corporate tax or super Pac money, get rid of the corrupting influence of donors in politics.
So half the video is about how she was in a TV show over a decade ago, and the other half is a mix between details of her personal life and the interviewer haranguing her for not having political experience. I guess there was no time to discuss where her and Cuomo differ on policy issues.

Yes, “half the video is about how she was in a TV show over a decade ago”. People must realize she has to be careful not to step on anyone’s toe’s because the wealthy media has a monopoly on the business and they would let her have it by not giving her any exposer like they did to Bernie or Ocasio Cortez or like other fixed elections like the senate seat in California where they had great progressive ideas, however they where shut out completely (from having media) and lost the election. Clearly Ocasio was an upset for established democrats politicians and republicans she is trying to save some monies by getting her free exposure that Como will get without a question when his election comes too. State of New York defininetly does not represent the voters. Nixon while doing this must also get more boots on the ground soon because it was grassroots efforts that got Ocasio into office. Nixon must hit districts that have given up on voting.
Right!! There's that liberal mainstream media with their agenda. The only agenda they have is money. Cuomo is rich and part of their establishment so they're kindly derailing her campaign. They really want to say why are you going against are guy? Finda different seat and we will back you, but not Cuomo he's one of us.

Yes I do. I also remember Bill Clinton and Schumer repealing of FDR's Glass Steagall Act in 1999 just before Bill exited office. I remember my late father who lived through the Great Depression and who was a lifelong FDR Democrat, throwing the remote at the TV yelling: *"that's like saying the robbers are coming down the street, we might as well take the rest of the locks off the door!"* *"Watch, in about 10 years we'll have another Wall Street crash."* Well, he didn't live to see, but was he right and only off by one year, *2008* came and we had the biggest Wall Street crash since the Great Depression--which most Americans still haven't recovered from. Bill Clinton was the best Republican the GOP ever had.

Cynthia Nixon is brave to have tried a different career. Como is the establishment clear out. State of NY needs a New politician, with renewed goals for it’s people. She would make a great new Governess of New York as long as she recognizes the people who put her in office.
I would have loved to hear more about her policies and campaign.

How could you do any entire interview with a serious candidate and never once talk about policy issues. The whole piece is simply “can a girl actor be governor?” Come on CBS. Shame on you. This video is part of the problem! Other commentors have mentioned you only grill her on her personal life and don’t ask about her policy - but not only that, you cut off the part of the interview with Colbert that was the best part!!! She actually raises really good points there. What is your objective here? You don’t even let the damn woman defend herself. You just say she has no experience - then cut to her personal relationship. Y’all need to submit an apology for this video. There’s literally no excuse for this.

In other forums Cynthia has proven very well positioned and capable in her run for Governor. Here we have a fluff piece with apparently no real effort to understand what Ms. Nixon stands for or what is making her run. What a sad piece where there was such a great opportunity to present her political position and reasons for running.

She's gonna win. I just hosted a fundraiser for her at Cecconi's Dumbo. She refuses membership to Soho House proper because she says it's classist, whatever that means. X her regardless. I met her through SJP years ago at Sevilla on Charles Street. I heart Sevilla, need to go again soon. Maybe a victory party?? Balloons please.
My mother is a big "Sex and the City" fan and it would mean so much if Cynthia manages to pull this one off, despite those polls (it looks pretty bad at this point). If she makes it to the top, somehow, then my mother and I will be cheering with joy and pretending to toast, like Miranda does with her 3 girlfriends. Good luck, #CforNY!

"Did you ever (slight pause) feel any guilt about living a life of luxury that the underclass could only dream about?". 3rd and final blow.... "What would you say to a young aspiring actor hoping to make it "big" someday AND yes, dreaming of becoming wealthy and enjoying all the privileges that it affords, knowing that your policies would require the confiscation of perhaps 75% of their income in taxes?". She is such a HYPOCRITE! I AM SURE when she was cashing those big paychecks she wasn't contemplating "SOCIALISM". This wasn’t a very good interview...they didn’t ask her about her platform. Too much focus on celebrity and sexuality. I love this show but I’m really disappointed in this piece.

Socialism IS NOT for America, however, there are some countries that it fits quite well. As long as it`s a relatively small country, with an intelligent, ethnically cohesive society, it works well.
