I look for the smiles on the chefs and cooks. When you love your work and proud of doing your best there is a certain contentment of competence thar SHOWS! Try USPS vs FedEX, or In 'n' Out Vs Mickey D's! It also reflects the establishment's management style.
What a cute, low keyed spot! I like the vibes. Nice hanger steak that is so popular in France. The burger looked juicy & decadent, my style! Sad Boyz in Mt. Gretna , NJ has a killer smash burger! Super video😅
We liked it too! Has the feeling of a little neighborhood hidden gem. Yes I’m surprised it’s not more popular here! Thanks for the rec we’ll have to try it!
It was! The atmosphere probably isn’t for everyone. It’s very laidback, not really a celebratory steak dinner sort of vibe but the food was unbelievable!
Always wondered if there's a relationship between price & quality. As one quality guru said in my Stats 101 class, "always look up stream". I'll stick with the Bentley over the VW Beetle. Thumbs up on the video Cheers from sunny Florida
I wouldn’t pick this specific steak over some of the best porterhouses and tomahawks around but price to quality in NYC this is definitely the best we’ve had!
With all the greatest provisions going to NYC every day, because there are plenty of residents and visitors and commuters with incomes and expense accounts able to pay for them; any restaurant in the metro area that wants to up their menu, or just a part or a special for it already has a purveyor or knows one who can get you ANYTHING! Keep looking for these gems. Mom &Pop only eat 8-10 oz of steak and can't afford those reasonably priced $50 a steak a la Carte places. And my expense account expired 10 Amex renewals ago.
Totally agree. Affordable places are hard to come by in NYC especially when it comes to steak but we’re always on the lookout for a good price. If there are any places you think we should check out let us know!
Wow this is a great comment. That’s a really tough question. The burger surprised us more, fully loaded like that it’s one of the best we’ve had. You can get better steaks in other places although they’ll cost a whole lot more, but there are few better burgers
It looks like you guys ordered one steak meal and one burger meal and share them? Is that right? As a great lover of steak, that hanger steak looks delicious! Do you guys know what up talk/up speak is? 🤔
@@travelfuller You should do a whole video with emphasis on up talk? ha ha It could be very funny? In UA’s video at about 10:25, you could see a second plate next to his with a hanger steak on it. Keep up the great videos! Ron here.
@@mistergrendel32 haha between the up talk and the vocal fry people would absolutely hate it! I’m not sure what was going on in UA’s video there. He said he ate it all but it looked like he just moved it to another plate. Thanks! Appreciate the support!
Food there is great, but like so many Brooklyn restaurants, they have gone down the natural wine path, so there is almost nothing on their wine list worth drinking. It's a shame.
Looks like you guys, UA and Andrews are all in agreement!
😂
If all three of us are in agreement you know it has to be good!
That's so funny because I always get these three recommended to me on TH-cam even though I'm from LA 😄
Haha good to know we’re getting around! We’ll have to make the trip to LA to review some places
@@travelfuller Ok, hit up , Langers for the NO. 19, and Apple Pan for their Hickory Burger for starters.
Great review as always! I may actually go to Brooklyn for this!
Thanks! We loved it. Let us know what you think!
Love your vids guys! Will definitely visit this place!
Thanks! Let us know what you think of it!
Looks awesome & delicious
Keep up good work
It really was! Thanks!
I’ve been there 3 times and food was excellent for sure. For some reason though, it’s never very crowded.
But, as usual, great job by you two
Thanks! Yeah we can’t figure that out. I don’t know when this place fell out of popularity but the food certainly hasn’t suffered
With steakhouses being so insanely expensive, this place has such an incredible price point. Would love to try it.
Couldn’t agree more! And everything was still amazing
Another hidden culinary gem (I did not know existed). Thank you again for sharing!
It was really popular before Covid but not as much recently for some reason. Thanks for watching!
i would love to see you comeback to try that insane ribeye
Same! It’s actually pretty pricey but we’ll have to go back and try it soon
I love the restaurants with open kitchens. You can see first-hand the pride the Chef takes in their work!
Same! Makes you feel like they have nothing to hide and it’s fun to watch them make everything in front of you

Yummy. Will try.
Great review! 🥰 I need to get some reservations locked in since I'll be back to NYC on Mother's Day.
Thanks! Let us know what you think!!

this looks really good... gotta check it out for brunch one day.

What kind of spices on the potatoes?
I think it’s mostly garlic and pepper, maybe a little rosemary and truffle oil!
What a great deal for such an eclectic restaurant. The hanger steak looked delicious

If you guys could show your final bills at the end of your meals I think that would be very informative
Yes! We started filming them recently but this and the next few videos were shot a while ago

i would like to see you review cut steakhouse
That’s definitely on our list to try!

Your hair is 🔥 in this video.

Go back. Go! GO!
Haha will do!
If you guys had to decide between the steak & the burger; which did you enjoy more:)

Yep! We typically share whatever we order. It was delicious! Haha yes, we’ve been told we do that

Temporarily closed due to fire.
