The swinging bridge to get to Grinnell Lake is currently washed away and you have to follow the river a short way downstream and cross on a series of fallen trees to get on the other side. Not impossible but may be a bit much for some non experienced hikers. It was certainly worth it.
@@VolcanoHatingMountaineer - I just got back from GNP last week and it was amazing. We were blessed with nice weather during our 4 days there, but there was one day the temp got up to 87F so hiking was a little tiring. Over all, it was a great experience and we loved every minute of it.
This is a great video! Thank you for posting this. We are planning to go in August. Anything you recommend the kids take for the hikes (in terms of gear)?
Mine love a small camel back and then they have access to water and can put up their layers as it gets warmer. Boots and poles/sticks. We found it easy to grab a hiking stick but it you are planning on doing Hidden Lake I would definitely get some poles And obviously snacks! One thing we love to do is pack hard candy/peppermints. When someone gets grumpy it’s amazing what a jolly rancher can do 😂 Have the best time making memories with your family!
