Swordmaster was my favorite tank until I tried Black Guard. Never looked back. It's such an amazing class and a ton of fun to play. Where SM can run out of steam deeper into a fight, BG just keeps going as they mix AP and Hate abilities to sustain their assault. If damage isn't your thing, BG can also spec to be basically immortal. On Live I could stalemate entire groups indefinitely solo. 10/10 the best designed tank class in MMO history.
@@AverageSneedEnjoyer well, I'm lvl 27 Chosen, I can tell that at my lvl 90% of teammates at scenarios ignore enemy healers, so it's me the one who try to get enemy's attention to jump on healer's... Oh yeah and every tank have strong feelings that they must take a 2h weapon and become a "DPS"...

I love their armor design that was got me into it, it's like the Dragon Princes of Caledor but on crack cocaine! :D Plus they are this whole dark knights defence force they got for them going, being Malakith's bodyguards,
I used to main BOrc(RR80) when WAR was live and a Chosen alt (RR50), and the go-to spec was choppa-shield, when "Down ya go" was on Da'Toughest paired with "Can't Hit Me", and you speced "T'ree Hit Combo" from Da'Brawler, or you went 2H Choppa or Big Loppa and spec Da'Boss for extreme taunt+"Shut Yer Face" one shots, or "Ravage" with twister for the Chosen. Tanks had to be tanks, to protect the guardee, the group, apply buffs and debuffs, and play your role proper! DPS spec tanks were just for fun (exception for Sword Master), cause other DPS classes were better for doing dmg. Solo tanks werent good enough, and I tried tanking again in RoR, still arent good for solo. Thats my oldest and honest opinion! Stay WAAAAAGH and kill da stunies!!
Just trying to get into this game after so long, but I'm having troubles figuring out what I want to play, I'm drawn towards blackguard and disciple of khaine right now, but I'm curious how well they do outside of their nieche tank/healer roles, can a blackguard/disciple compete damage wise, or is it just a gimmicky kinda thing (Blackguard fashion, with a giant glaive though... That is my kink)
After installing VinUI my chain mechanic is no longer displaying its visual aids on my hotbars. As in my abilities are no longer showing a highlighted border as they become available as my combo progresses

Yabann I just started on it as a new player and there are tons of low level people playing. Some people even argue that the lower level pvp is the most fun and balanced area of the game. I’ve been having lots of fun and you can queue for pvp right away, and it scales you up to meet the enemies level
na just jump right in. Queue for Nordwatch scenario starting at level one which you make your way to the tier 1 RvR zone. Farm up emblems and medallians early so you can get your first gear sets at level 10-11. At level 16 you get to queue with everyone else in RvR. Find a decent guild for Warbands.
I would say give it a shot, we have so many new players that now is a fantastic time to get into it. After a few weeks, you will be in a decent place gear wise 😀
You said the BO’s sword and board is a bit underwhelming when compared to the 2 hand build; is that due to the 2 hand being so good, or the sword and board full tank being sub-par in comparison to Black Guard and Chosen. Nvm, went back and you answered my question. Still, would you say that perhaps their tanking potential is not as good as their straight bruiser potential?

I'm slowly leveling a Mara to 40 (currently 32) and I find that in general it's a pretty fun class. It's a less dependent class than Choppa and once you are around lv 30 Mara starts to come online
Warhammer was touted as a WoW killer when it first came out (like many MMO's). It was not. However, the roots of Warhammer Online are Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC) which had arguably the best 'realm vs realm' combat of any MMO. Warhammer has better mass battles than WoW and the PvP is definitely more involved - at least on a group level. Give it a try!
Community is fantastic, we have players from across the world, always good action any time of day, and an awesome group of people, except for that one guy! 😉

They reworked it. It's a toggle now. You can have 3 on at all times, if you toggle aura off it's instantly off and you have 4 sec cd to activate a new aura.
Private Server, where the worse people ever, were made GMs and do whatever they like. One server that is almost dead with less than 200 players already and most of them are GMs playing as players. The original Age of Reckoning was a great game , and many people loved it. 9+ years later, RoR is a dead game only for a small group of people, where scenarios are only with premade parties and RvR is only Pugs. But the worse.... their GMs,

I both love the Blackguard when I'm playing on Destro, and despise them when on Order. I guess that says something 😅

I want to start playing.. Whats a good solo dps for destruction? I know choppa is dependent on a pocket healer so thats out.
Sorc is a beast, but he is also dependent on healers, Magus is another great option that does not requires a pocket healer

Marauder can do more damage, BO is tankier. It's more complex than that, but that's a simple way if looking at it!
