- The Park Tools DAG-3 derailleur alignment gauge amzn.to/3Ye9xZ6 is a must have for DIY bike mechanics. It's durable, easy to use, and aligns your derailleur hanger so your bike shifts properly.

I can see why the DAG-3 is better than the 2 with the rotating bit. So much better
Not heard it called a mech here in uk for about 20 year's call them a Derailleur nowadays, one thing though never bent a rear mech hanger in 30 yrs of riding lol that sounds to weird now
appreciate this video!
My pleasure!
great tool, excellent review, and what a great bonus tip about tightening the mech hanger bolt in 2nd gear!
Thanks! 👍
Until the screw in the plastic pivot quits holding. I have one, and it’s horrible. Just bought the Abbey. All metal.
I think a derailleur hanger alignment tool is a bit overkill for the home mechanic as it's cheaper and easier to simply replace the derailleur hanger.
If you keep them all in stock
@@MikeMassey-fi5of It's not hard to keep them in stock when you only own one or two bikes. I always carry a spare derailleur hanger with me when I ride.
You’re not entirely wrong. But I’m always surprised by how easily and how frequently our hangers are bent. The hassle of finding a replacement is often superseded by 10 minutes with the alignment tool.
I’ve also had new hangers bent. Also OP your B gap was off because there was no sag. Remember FS needs the B gap set at sag.
For someone like me that has a built in hanger on my frame I have no choice but to buy one of these or pay a shop to adjust it. I found one on amazon for 30 bucks to try.
Let me know how that amazon one works.
"honest review"... this usually means his reviews are dishonest. It's like a Freudian slip, dude is compelled to announce honesty when it should be an unspoken default.
What are you on? It's implying that other people aren't honest or their reviews are sponsored
@@rowanrobinson How are you so dense? I can't be bothered to explain something so simple. Next.
