Omg moving the park stand is the worst 😅 I’ve pinched my hands in it trying to move it more than once and my height adjusting Allen bolts are stripped so I can’t move it. The bike hand looks nicely designed. Thanks for the awesome comparison!
Thanks, I got the bike hand. I fix bikes mobile. It's very light fits in my shop bmw suv. Love the smooth moving parts. It even attracts customers. Grate reviews ,happy biking
Finally, a review/comparison that actually answers all the questions everyone wants answers to! Why do those other TH-camrs take a half hour to explain so little?
Good chat about the bike stands. I have the same Park Tool stand. Had it for years, real reliable and sturdy but I keep it up in the garage because its not practical to keep folding it down. That Bike Hand stand looks convenient for travelling and folding away. I may consider that for moving about. I would say that Park Tools engineering quality is hands down better in this scenario, less plastic components. Thanks for sharing!
I owned that Park Tool stand and now own the Bike Hand, and prefer the Bike Hand (no pun intended) hands down. However, I have to point this out; If I were a pro wrench, I would undeniably choose a Park Tool stand (more likely, the next model up, their PCS-10). Any Park Tool stand is great, but for a home shop doing mostly light maintenance & tuning & cleaning, I'll take the Bike Hand all day long. It offers great value for the money. One just has to remember that these aren't pro stands for mounting and removing bikes quickly out of them especially with the plastic adjustments. In any home hobbyist set-up, they should last forever, but for someone who might do maybe more aggressive riding (either road or MTB), they'd benefit from the heavier duty construction of any Park Tool product. Having said all of that, my PCS-9 stand was a bear to deal with while the Bike Hand is a joy to work with. I love mine. Once you get the hang of it, it's so easy to mount your bike and to remove it, moving it around the shop floor is a breeze and it feels very substantial. It doesn't feel flimsy. Nice build. And its very stable as well. The problem with Park Tool stands is that they're so well built that you really can't justify buying another one. They're gonna last forever. For anyone with the PCS-9, I believe you can upgrade the clamp to a PCS-10 and in my humble opinion, it's well worth it. It will change your life. My 2 cents. BTW, GREAT review!
Thanks for commenting. I like the stability of the Park Tool for me, and my hub like the bike Hand. So we each get a stand! 100% agree. Park Tool makes solid products, This is an older stand, maybe that's why it was a raffle item. 😅
I have the bikehand one, and for home garage bike repairs is the best. I store it by hanging it on a wall rask, and it works great. The park tool, which I do not own, looks sturdier, but a lot less convenient.
I love ParkTool for all their tools and TH-cam videos! However, for bike stand check out Feedback Sports. I own the Classic since 2 years and would never change it. Its stable, lots of adjustment and once collapsed its very small and fits in its high quality bag. Nice video.
Love the Bike Hand stand. I got both and returned the Park. The weight and collapsiblity difference is there and it really adds up when you have to lug it up and down 3 flights of stairs from apartment to garage or take it to a friend's place
I perfer the Bike Hand for ease of use, storage and mobility. The tool / parts holder is nice. I have one bike and this will last as a light duty tool.
I got the bike hand mainly cause it will handle 110ib v park's at 80 lbs and my ariel ruder x-clss is a bit over 80lb snd the claws are not really plastic they are glass filled nylon and bike hand is cheaper too
Anyone watching this: Be careful with the quick release collar for the legs on these stands, make sure its really clamped down well. The newer park tool stuff has a silver spring button that prevents it from slipping up and collapsing.
I have this park tool stand and to me it's easy to adjust up and down and to fold it up too.I think I have most of the park tools they put out just for home use there wheel jig is great too.But like all of park tools you pay for them.
Prices are very similar now the bike hand is not as budget priced as it once was pre pandemic and with the upgraded knobs on the park 9.3. now that they are closer in price and the stand is fully adjustable its Park for the win. 50 dollars more at this time.
I haven't looked in a while at the prices. I personally only use the Park stand. It's where I work on my bike, but it's been sitting outside rusting a little bit, I still need to add that quick release so I can put it away easier. Thanks for commenting.
Bike Hand is a great choice. Light, flexible configuration and easy to collapse. I use it in the garage and in the parking lot at the trail. Bike Hand is my choice. The tool shelf on the Bike Hand is made of plastic and will break, so be careful. Great review!
@@AdventureMuse Did you get the 55lb rated (Standard) stand or the 110lb (Heavy Duty) stand for your husband? I have the standard 55lb. So far no issues even with heavier steel framed bikes.
I also own both stands Park Tools stand for displaying bike and photo purposes. When it comes to actually repair/tune up bikes, Bike Hand is much better in terms of price, weight, hike quality. Park Tools really is milking their buyers with this cheaper build stand with heavier material.
Thanks for the review, I appreciate it. Considering how much mountain bikes go for, I have no second thoughts about just going straight for the Park Tool PCS 10-2 stand for currently $230 on Amazon. In comparison to the price of bikes, getting & paying the price for the highest quality stand I can find within reason, is just the obvious choice for myself. I'm not comfortable with the plastic parts on the Bike Hand stand. I only began riding again in the last 7 years, and I purchased the Bike Hand "complete"(or at least the one with the most tools that they sell), and I deeply regret not just buying the highest quality tools I could afford, as I need them in place of that decision.
They both have pros and cons. Park tool made some improvements on the PCS 10-2. They added all the things I wasn't happy with. A Quick release, and easier to fold up. amzn.to/3hCyNCV
@@AdventureMuse Good! :) I was actually looking to see how BikeHand tools are rated, as I am considering buying their Chain Tool and Chain Wrench over the Park tools. They are about 1/2 the price, but being Taiwan made, are of far better quality than the Chinese one. I have the Park mini-tool, but the full sized BikeHand is rated quite well. I know.... I don't clamp it down tight and generally toss a rag around the frame. My newer bike - not in this video... has a rock shock dropper and when I was clamping it to the post, I swear it messed it up. It's cheaper than the frame... but still...
Would have loved to see you wobble each one with the bike on it so we could actually see how stable they are. Otherwise good review, short and concise.
Does the Bike Hand open wide enough to insert an aero seat post(2 5/8 in, 75 mm) or seat tube (3 1/8in 80mm)? I have seen various answers.Example: It "handles up to 2 1/2 in" : to "able to handle up tp 3 1/2 in".
Great, comparison. I am not fan of plastic stuff in this use, but worst plastic repair stand head must be Topeak prepstandpro. It use a big knob to tighten clamp, and uses teeth to adjust angle but it's flexible, and has alot of play. Also overpriced.
I meant Elite and Pro, I used the Elite, cus as a fast solution cus a local store had it. but both are as bad, same design only thing is Pro has a weight at the arm.

Good comparison and shows clearly how much folks are overpaying for park tool just because of the name.
