    Epiphone are absolutely smashing it. There's not a single Gibson model that I want or are interested in right now but there must be 3-4 Epiphone models that I could kill for. Absolutely love my JC wino so I know that these newer Epiphones are built to a fantastic quality.

    It would be nice to see him actually play one of his epi signature guitars on stage when he releases them. Probably give the range way more kudos. I bought his last guitar the 62 335 and it's a really nice instrument so well done Joe. 👏👍

    He's not my cup of tea, ever since he left Bloodline, and I'm not really a brand boy of his, but this is definitely one I can get behind and have to have. It's got just enough of those unique features not available on the other production models that it makes it super interesting and desirable in my opinion. Also it makes me super excited about the purported upcoming Dave Grohl signature model and the Jake Kiszka SG. Very cool.

    1400usd for this is embarrassing. Epiphones can’t be over 1000, even that is too much. They’re going crazy with these prices.

  • @RRW276
    @RRW276 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    They're asking $1,400 for this and it doesn't even have Gibson burstbuckers. Just the cheap Epi ones. Again, $1,400. Keep it, Epiphone!
    Edit: And it's nice how they're hoping no one noticed the pups (against the price).

      @danielferrera8773 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Right, I have been saying the same for the last year, maybe ever longer. 1500 bucks were the standard for Standard models not so long ago. Now you get an Epi. You could buy a Cuetom Shop for 2000-2200. Now it gets you to a USA factory model. And so on.

      I have the 59 reissue and it's one of my main stage guitars. I play over 70 shows a year, easy. BUT.... I see the price points on all the Epiphones creeping up, and not slowly either, to the point that they're starting to defeat the idea of their own products.
      I have just under $1,000 in my '59. I feel like a $1,399 Epiphone is just a little ridiculous. And I say that having the experience from ownership of many real Gibson models.
      The 58 Explorer and Flying V reissues were my first "WTF" moment, when I saw the $1,200 price tag. They're fine guitars, but again, we are defeating the purpose of this brand more and more as time goes on.

      Wait until the idiot defenders come on here and try to tell you that you can't tell the difference between Pro Buckers and Burst Buckers. I play over 70 paid shows a year and I can easily not only "hear" the difference, but I can feel it.
      I'm a volume knob twiddler. I notice everything dynamically, and I run my guitar hot through my in-ear, which REALLY allows me to hear and feel the really subtle stuff.

    Some really very ridiculous comments here. People who haven’t seen this guitar personally are complaining about the price and the fact that it’s made in China.
    Yes, it’s 1500,-€ and it’s made in China. But I had it in my hands and it looked and felt better than any Gibson in the same shop. For a price that is lower than the price of a Gibson SG standard you get a Custom with an ebony fretboard and real mother-of-pearl inlays. But of course you could also spent more than 6K for a Gibson SG Custom, why not…

I had a hard time putting down $1500 for an Epi, but this thing is truly awesome. Best neck I ever played, very high quality build, extremely low and buzz-free action, and those Epi Burstbucker pickups are amazing! This guitar plays as well as my most recent acquisition 2018 Gibson Flying V. I can’t wait to see what comes next in the Bonamassa series from Epiphone.

I actually believe I would rather have the Epiphone version of all the Gibson models if I were a gigging musician. The Gibson stuff is too expensive to risk on the road. These do the job just fine and if that drunk chic dancing in front of you vomits or falls over and knocks your gear to the floor, your $5000 Les Paul is not at risk. Your $500 one is.
