I'm not going to criticize Joe Bonamassa for having so many guitars. The only reason I don't have as many as he does is because I can't afford it. But I love them every bit as much as he does. As he said, he's doing what he absolutely loves. So he went a little overboard. Maybe he went way overboard. But it's what he loves and it makes him happy. I only started collecting guitars about 11 months ago. Fortunately I had all my bills paid (school loans, mortgage, car, I didn't have any bills). But ever since I started collecting I'm looking for ways to buy another one all the time. They are so beautifully made. I freak every time I see a new Custom Shop.
See a lot of comments hating on joe for having a nice collection. What the hell is wrong with having a huge nice collection? Even if you only buy one or two guitars a year you are eventually gonna have a lot.
SG guitars are the most underrated model out there. Great sound for Blues, Hard Rock obviously, but also works super well with pedals so its a guitar the indie guitarists should really look into. Well built, great pickups and built like a tank!!
My first guitar I bought well used in 1966 was an SG sort of off white covered in checking with a Bigsby. Two pickups. Years later (1989 or so) i bought a cherry one new. Wish i still had them.
@@richardsisk1770 yes, great guitars, and the pickups I would best describe as pure and powerful. Great thing for you and me though is that they are actually quite affordable, even the older ones. At least compared to other older gibsons. Ive never liked the Les Paul, it just feels clumsy in my hands, but the SG is great if you sit or stand.
I saw joe play in Vegas last year.He is being modest on his playing and voice , he is amazing and one of the best out there. I brought two friends who didn’t know his music and were blown away. Fantastic show and his band are top shelf. If you get a chance you won’t be disappointed !

He just has great tone and he can sing would love to meet him at some point in my life. Great video Norm I hope you are doing well.
I love Joe as a player and I adore the fact that he's such a monumental geek about this stuff. But I do find it rude that, as soon as anyone else starts to talk, he starts to play.
I’d be a shitty guest too if all I wanted to do was test a guitar I might buy, and people at the shop kept interviewing me to try and make more money off the purchase with their TH-cam channel.

Some gigs in my town have announced they are not going to re-open. I hope Joe has a gig soon to play the SG.
We feel ya brother 😕
There's 2 Antigua Teles hanging back there.
Master of pentatonic.
Love the SG
Gotta love Joe! You just have to love him. What a great guy! What a hard working guy!
JB has cornered the Used/Vintage Market, Guitar Center contacts Bonamassa FIRST any time GC buys a Used/Vintage guitar Nation-Wide............ and prices on Used/Vintage Guitars have skyrocketed because of that........JB ends up with anything that is even decent that hits the used/vintage market via GuitarCenter.......and YOU LOVE THAT ?
@@wildbill2122 - You are so right dude!!. Spoiled rich Kid, who has his network of Vintage Guitar dealers contact him first also.... the dealers who are tearing at the leash to do Joe another favor, or get Joe Another one. Meanwhile Joe stacks them up like Chord wood in his upscale home and condo, makes movies about them all while giggling like a little school girl. then to top it off, he has an Epiphone model, that the peasants can play,,, He enriches himself and hoards more vintage gear... And somehow when this is mentioned,,, the JB army wll come out and call me a hater, a loser, and say.. How Dare you , joe is a curator.. Every wonder why black guards and Bursts cost so much? No secret simple supply and demand...... Its laughable actually.
@@teegleason8044 ROCK ON BRO ! I did not want to say it: BUT " FUCK Joe Bonnamassa !", if he hadn't bragged about getting 1st shot at Vintage Guitars Nation-Wide, because of who he knows...I might think differently. BUT the fuckin guy is making it so no one else can get a Vintage 50's early '60's Guitar.Pushing prices sky high! I am glad that GIBSON has made some outstanding guitars since 2017 and I got at least 3 of them. My 2017 SG Standard is the bext SG STandard GIBSON may have ever made, IMO....I will put it up against any SG Standard from any year ! and its 100% Stock....the new 2021 FLYING 'V' '70's Tribute, in Classic White, is also BAD-to-the-frikkin-Bone as well.
That guitar sounds like my memories of 60's guitar music God's!
What a down to Earth guy.
Ill be honest i follow joe because of his love of his guitars and amps! He is a nerd on these things, he Knows his great vintage stuff.
😄 lololoool 👌
I laughed my ass off, all that was missing was the microphone coming into the picture from above and banging someone in the head 😄😄😄 and the very best came at the end 👍
THX Joe
Years ago someone says this is a so-and-so guitar . You would go ok. Now there's so many low lifes and the fakes are so good. It's hard to find a nice old guitar. Yes I know go to a vintage guitar store. But really who has that kind of money. Not the average person.
I have a white one just like this, smooth heel, same year, double stamped, but mine has PAFs not Pat No. and factory Grovers.
WOW beautiful guitar.
I would love to see a book!
Funny when Joe said. It needs strings and alotta things. He is a guitar conesior. That guitar I Love.
Amazing anybody can pick like that and not keep whacking the middle pickup. I had to lower mine and I STILL hit it.
Whenever Norm talks, Joe plays ! LOL
These people are so lucky, I cant even afford one nice guitar.. I would love to have 60s SG,
Sell us some pedals!
Not luck man, hard work. Just keep working hard, stay focused, set your mind on something and work until it happens.
