This is excellent guidance, so desperately needed. Everything Boston explains is clear and concise. There is no repetition. DON'T blink, or you may miss something important, but DO replay often.
Sure, I'll be doing one on the Second Life channel soon, but you can also watch a complete walkthrough that I produced for my channel here: th-cam.com/video/pgoHH75lqmM/w-d-xo.html
a common area of concern for mixing avatar bodies/shapes and heads from different designers in the dreaded "neck line". some tips for correcting that issue would be very much appreciated.
One of the most common solution to fixing it is to reorder the neck fade layer (if you're using bom skins). I show how to do that in my other video here at 13:33 th-cam.com/video/6ax3_07PmPU/w-d-xo.html
What about body hair? Heads come with facial hair, and I'm helping someone with their new look. Does body hair come in the hud like heads do facial hair, or is it bought separately from the skin creator?
I tried to update my avatar and all the parts were invisible like Predator. I could see a shadow but the body parts were invisible and I could see my lungs and heart. When I took the update off and put my old parts back on it didn't match with my head. even thought he skin colors are the same I have a line around my neck.
This is great, but can you also show advance customisation for users that want a non human avatar, not a furry as I am but rather androids, elfs, Anime and so on based on those well known mesh bodies.
Slow your commentary down. Make illustrations clearer. Take a look at a few 3D Printing TH-cam videos. You know what you are talking about and it shows.

thank you very helpful you make it look so easy :)
Thank you! It's usually the Applier vs Bom configs which make it a little confusing :)
the new signature Gianni body is bom from unpacking so not alpha needed
