I've found it! The button is located in [Shape-Masks-'Advanced' > Use Incoming Index] not on the right click like the video✴

I've tried my best but when I duplicate the square and then change the rotation to random or value array instead of just changing the position of the squares it also changes the rotation so I get a lot of squares rotating and moving at the same time instead of just moving like in your tutorial. Would you happen to know of a solution to this?

When I use the Index color it doesnt apply. I looked at your setup and mine but mine doesnt give the option " use index" . Do you have any idea how to fix that?

In the Advanced tab in the attribute editor - look for the Index option there. -
