- Check out this guy's room totally change into the movie he is watching! No SFX, no post production, no cuts, everything you see here is 100% for real.
We were funded by the Video Store of PlayStation® Store (www.greatfilmsfillrooms.com) to make a series of movie related videos using 'Immersive Imaging' which takes 3D projection mapping as its starting point, but gives the viewer a supercharged experience with the help of the PlayStation Move controller.
In the past, projection mapping worked only from a single, static view point, and thus was very limited. By attaching the PlayStation Move to the camera, we can track projections to screens in real time, enhancing the effect of spatial deformation and false perspective on the projections and allowing viewers to look round (virtual) corners, bend walls, create a hole in the wall, or remove the walls altogether to reveal vast expanses of virtual worlds. - เกม
I love it. Great work guys!
Each time i watch this i'm more impressed, it really is amazing.
This is awesome!!
Way better than the first video IMO. Loved it.
Ultra cool stuff
R-E-L-L-Y creative!!
Amazing
Clever lighting.
No hubo post producción, pero ¿y toda la renders previos? GReat job!
Unbelievable !!
Fajny pokój ;D Dobra robota ;)
awesome;)
I want to purchse this for my resturant ....plz let me know the all product details ...and how can i fix all these items? plz rply...( english is not my 1st language )
I wonder if TV will be like that one day?
@megabrowser17 Well yes, they were funded by PS store, but it doesn't mean it's related to gaming, they're mostly talking about how to change the way we watch movies if I remember correctly, and since they were funded by a PS Store, they used a technology from them which is used for gaming. Like when Kinect is used for other purposes, the motion control isn't restricted to gaming although that tool is created for PS3's motion games.
next next gen tech
How would 1 go about getting in touch with the people involved with the mapping and projection in this film?
Wow!!
Come on, it's not "fake".
It's very well done!
Projections calculated to give a sense of perspective even though it's projected onto an existing vertical plane (either wall) or existing horizontal plane (duh, the floor).
It wasn't long ago when they started painting ad-blocks on sports pitches so the camera view's "perspective" would make it look "upright" to the viewer, from the viewer's viewpoint. Down at pitch level, it's an odd stretched-out thing you'd see.
Think also of "sidewalk chalk"!!
@faiz434 yeah. and if you've noticed the angle of the camera have always been a bit perpendicular to the corner. i don't know what the word to use but you'll understand the thought :D
@Alex18PR Hi Alex, we're actually going to release the making of later this month so stay tuned.
What is the name of the song playing at the beginning of this video?
Neat! But the clapping at the end is so corny hahahaha
What is the Song in the intro
They said I could be anything, so I became a plane....on a living room.
I think it's time for a new series of Knightmare!
@JonOvalle it's a specially composed piece of music by Si Begg.
Woooo! Woooo! Woooo!
@RyukriegerDenkiteki Actually, it's funded by a Playstation store, and is in the gaming section, as said in the description. Although they may use technology related to electronic gaming, the actual content has absolutely nothing to do with gaming.
arrasou!!!!
So if they ever release a product that's essentially just a projector, a ps3, and Move camera, plus some movie titles with additional projecting content, for example Transformers 3, will it include 3 guys in tights and a fold-out cardboard?
What's the song in the first 15 seconds? Anyone's got an idea? Thanks...
It's a show of their potential, what they could offer in the future, perhaps. PS seem to be full of surprises recently.
If someone were to purchase this, does it come with the stage crew too?
Haha i didn't even notice the white dude against the wall on the right side :P
nice
Technically speaking there is no post production, but I think it counts as special effects because of the projected images.
Obviously they spent some time getting it to work with the projection before filming this.
@megabrowser17 Well, now, they didn't say it was related to videogame in the description did they?
Dear Santa...
Immersive.... Staring at the floor with a cardboard box on your head.
All done in one take? I call for a steward's enquiry!?
how did the cube become a sphere at 0:34???
So, it only works if you have a green screen lounge... and five buddies in Lycra...
how the hell does the cube come out the wall @ 0:35, or is it just an optical illusion?
@Duodecillian So if u wanna play u need 3/4 bro to make things fly and u need a standard room...
amazing, a movie immersive most movie ever i see............
what technology they use to make that movie????
Boom!
And all of you old people thought video games were anti-productive...
I swear Madam Justice. Even my grandmother has one.
Maybe the projection should be displayed on the people too, so they don't stick out that much.
nice illusion
if i was baked, this would be awesome
can someone explain this to me?
Microsoft's IllumiRoom says hi.
George Melies would be proud.
this must be what its like to chew 5 gum
siiiiiiiccckkk
@megabrowser17 But well, they aren't advertising about games, so they aren't saying it's related to games. I saw some people use Kinect to develop motion control animations, but they're not funded, the only difference is these guys are funded.
But anyway, maybe we just didn't understand each other clear enough, and yes, it does remind me of those
STARSCREAM RULES!
Note: mimes not included
so is this coming to a ps3 near me or what
Why are there people in the set?
@Fauna Maybe, when you will try simply to imagine the immense work to do this........
They could make classes with that move ball light on the sides,
so it would be 3D for the guy and not just the camera..
I wonder if they've thought of that.
"Thunderbird 1 is GO!"
there is no post production indeed BUT it must have token a heck of a lot time to create the animations that the beamer projects.. and animating means there still was some work to do on the pc. post production.
ace vfx post-production
noun
work done on a film or recording after filming or recording has taken place.
pre-production
noun
work done on a product, especially a film or broadcast programme, before full-scale production begins.
reminds me of transformer 3D in Universal Studios Singapore!
so . . . what does this do/prove? i mean i don't get it lol what does the playstation have to do with any of these three videos?
@Duodecillian Kinect WAS revolutionary. It's an actual working product that you can buy. This technology is awesome but it has nothing to do with the PS3 and certainly won't be hitting the market anytime soon.
Even if this was used to for immersive gaming how would you compensate for the lack of walking space? Anyway pretty cool.
what the hell is "Kartonem" though ? lol!
@paulmoorenova Actually, this technology is being considered for PS4 gaming. Basically the move on steroids for the consumer.
So do all these dudes in black come with the ps4?!! Maybe if we buy the 5million gb package we get the projector too!
yet one requires a bunch of people in your room to be dressed up in spandex....
I want a console to play games. This is making me forget that purpose.
You guys are missing the biggest point, read the title. "Most Insane Immersive MOVIE Experience EVER, Part 1" I capped MOVIE so u see this isn't a gaming experience. its what sony does best, not games but entertainment.
I can see you....
@sandraciampone nice pics Sandra. x
@Fauna yes but thats not the point
prepackaged with Meganne Fox and Hally Berry
Hooooly shit!
@codypfeiffer50 This technology is being considered for PS4 gaming. Basically the move on steroids for the consumer
starscream? D:
@megabrowser17 Oh, I see, that's why you're saying it. I don't really look at the section since I just read the the descriptions everytime. Then you have a point, the section should really be changed.
i do that every night ... after my "Medication" session !
lol
A Sony comercial using Optoma projectors? And the brand clearly visible?
Epic fail: 0:05
And this is related to video games how?
Absolutely genius! Now how about "Most Insane Immersive Porn Movie Experience EVER".?
Yeah, we do, and this is what? How is this for games?
@smallsmallpaul
It has nothing to do with the green screen, lol.
Who else is watching this in 2022
Hey Sony! Give Microsoft "Kinect" back!
Make your room a game space. The player turning to a plane thing is dumb, but imagine playing an FPS on your screen that animates the world around you in your room. Think of laying a GTA game, and the streets of Los Santos or Vice are animated around you. Full immersion.
One thing i can think go to america got talents
You're right. It's my passion. And I can take yours too if you want because I never suck a Sony fan boy (you seem to be) yet.
jedi's holocrones?
Revise your classic young padawan. Kinect is more of an inspiration distant than a copy of the Eyetoy. And by the way, I own a PS3, not a 360. But it's ok, I forgive you.
0:45 Ej ty z kartonem na głowie! Oddaj nam Hankę!!!
Another awesome thing by Sony
