Oh I didn't knew about the kits part. I've been playing it for a while now and will completely like to recommend it to everyone specially if you're looking for a slight change from regular games.
It's not absolute that you will lose your items after a failed run, that can be changed in the game's settings, many mechanics in the game can actually be changed in the settings. You can either make the game super difficult for yourself or very easy with these settings, you have complete control over it, play it as you wish, nobody will judge you for being a noob who wants it easy or for being a masochist who likes to suffer.
Agree but I made this video with a perspective to give almost everyone the jist of the overall game. Further settings can be easily explored once you know the basic stuff about the game. In my opinion, providing everthing ruins the experience of actually playing the game as there are most of the things you already know.
@alcineoffical How did you get that truck to scrap in the garage instead of the car? I have beaten the game and have not seen that before, you can see it in the video at 6:01 in the video on the left hand side. Did you have to do something to get it or is it random chance.

I feel like a complete noob. I finished my first journey and my scrapper tool needs a repair but I need plastic, how do I get it before a new trip? The friendly dumpster didnt give me plastic or things I need. I also need to do a bunch of repairs to my car but I dont have a lot of the ingredients. Should I just go out there again or is there a way to get the things in the garage? Im convinced I need to do the repais first because how Im I supposed to collect materials without the scrapper tool? Sorry for my dumb questions, first time playing a survival and feel so lost.
For plastic, you can scrap the radio and computer on the shelves next to the abandoned car outside the garage. But even without that, as a scrapper's considered an essential tool, the Dumpster will usually spit one out if yours breaks and you still have Dumpster uses left.

What do you mean by "park outside the anchor circle as your car may deal dmg"? I always pull up pretty close and it's fine (with one exception when some anomaly freaking launched it in the air)
There is so much info in the start so it better to take your time to learn things or get a basic knowledge and then get started. But knowing that you're having fun is all that matters :-)
As far as saving, if you're on a multi-junction trip, keep in mind that saves are made when you enter a new junction. So the most you generally lose is about 30 minutes of work, as in non-story missions and those without the Perpetual Stability modifier, you have a max of around 30 minutes (note that's the max, you can check the Route Map in the menu and look at the bar graph next to the clock icon to get a rough idea of the approximate time limit - None, Low, Medium, or High) before the storm starts closing in and you must leave the zone either through a Gateway (which saves) or an exit to a new junction (which also saves).
Man I wish that we could get more games like Firewatch, SOMA etc. This brings little vibes like that but still I would love to play something along those lines :-(
Firewatch, What Remains of Edith Finch, Dear Esther, Outer Wilds, Gone Home, The Stanley Parable, etc... Are some of the best games ever made. I absolutely love the Narrative Driven Adventure Game format (sometimes called "Walking Sims"). Pacific Drive is a lovely twist on that. The core gameplay loop of going out and exploring for a time, and then starting off back where you began, is very much like Outer Wilds... and believe me, comparing something favorably with Outer Wilds is HUGE praise.
I have a beginners question for someone (me) who is totally new to video games in general. Im new to even the most basic things. How do i use the pry bar to open the trunk?! Thats how new i am. Not using it screws up the whole thing, and hitting with it breaks it. I playing on ps5. Im annoyed AND embarrassed.
One thing as well the the way you were driving fast in some clips actually damages your car you can see the car status flashing. You can save yourself a lot of damage by just slowing a bit over bumps and not racing the car at top speed when off road, chemicals are hard to come by and completely wrecking your car every drive is more annoying than fun imo
Any tips how to save the progress made? Even if I'm in the garage still can't save and when I log I have to go thru the whole thing again. How do you people save?
@genkishan The game auto-saves when you transition to another area automatically, and when you come back from the garage. I suggest manually saving to two save slots, so you can reload if you get stuck.
When at base, you can access anything in your car, lockers, and inventory to craft. When on the road, the only things you're allowed to access is items in your car's inventory or your own personal inventory.
The anchor explanation is a little confusing, because you at first show what are the gateways back to the garage. the first circle you show being red to indicate you are too close to open the gateway, and then the second one being yellow to indicate you are far enough away to open it. The circle that expands on the map is the border you have to be outside of for it to be safe to activate the gateway.
Lmao I thought that the comment was asking about auto-save. Yes, you can save the game manually in the garage. Guess I've to edit my above comment too lol
Tip: Don't let your gear break all the way. Instead, toss it in the recycler when it's low and you'll get most of the mats back, then craft a new piece.
A good tip for tools that I use - when I get back to base after a run, I look at the durability of my tools, and if one's running low, I toss it in the Deconstructor to get some of the materials back, then use those plus some of my own to make a replacement.
the game is cool af, but there are difficulty spikes that are way off balance...i mean, im in a level 1 area, so shouldn't i only have to get 1 anchor to get me back? i have to get up to 4 different anchors to even have access to the gateway on a lvl 1 area...and the gateway is usually way on the opposite side of the map up a giant hill thats impossible to get to in time...wtf

Not only the voice but the quality of tips, the amount of information, presentation, editing style, and multiple other things have changed since the Isonzo upload (which was like 1.5 years back). It's just the result of improving the content with each video little by little and I guess that's what "improving the content quality" means, right? There were many things I didn't knew when I started and many things I still don't know so the content you're seeing right now will not be the same in the coming future. So when you collect stable energy from the anchor and store it in the right passenger seat, you attract anomalies What I want to know is can we throw the energy after taking it out of the anchor and wait till the anomalies get attracted while the energy sits on the ground (at a safe distance from the wagon) . And once the anomalies have done what they do.. then we can carry it to the car and drive away It worked for me with the rock pillars, but I couldn't understand how the abductors react to this method Any help would be appreciated
Flares are actually very useful against the abductors. They seem to be attracted to them, and if you toss them at them, they'll grab them and run off with them, which then often attracts all the other abductors in the area. Not sure this will help, but hope it does!
It runs great 90% of the time. However, it can get buggy in the menu's. It will get stuck in certain menus, and I had the game glitch out, in the field (just trying to look at my route map), which caused me to have to restart the game from my last save. All in all, it's no more buggy than most Indy titles. It's well worth the trouble anyway. Fantastic game.
Now that's a different survival game. Also, IGN doesn't know anything about the game. I would never ever trust someone who gave Alien Isolation such a low rating.
What's the problem with an AI voiceover I don't get it really. If the flow and pronunciation is good I think nothing is wrong. Agree it or not but ai generated voiceovers are getting normalized even in games and movies too so please get used to it.

Its random but its stays for the rest of the game when you do get one

Can you not access crafting supplies stored back at base while on the road?

You mean autosave feature?
If you're playing on ps5 the start button brings up a menu for save and save and quit. Not sure about pc though.
You can literally save at any point. Start menu: Save: Resume Game. Rinse and repeat.
