If you want a small camper van in the U.S. you are basically screwed. There are some domestic conversions but most of them start at about $100K+ and they are nowhere the quality and innovation of the European builds. Too boot, none of these vans in this video are available for sale in the U.S. Yes, you can import one, but you cannot register it - you can only bring it in for temporary use while touring the the U.S. and it must be exported out when the time period is up.
Well the last option is to convert and make the camper yourself. I see a lot of people do it for under 50k. Granted it's not like these ones but it's something if you are on a budget.
I have a microcamper i converted myself.. it has a microwave, an air fryer and 15L fridge. Works great in Florida, but I could never image spending any real time with anybody else in such a small space. I'm rarely inside during the day.

Interesting. Not sure if i want electric vehicle for a road trip. May not have any charging station in the middle of nowhere. Are these even available in the USA?

Buying a new van like those takes away all the romanticism and magic of van camping. The whole philosophy is to do more with less. You can get an older Ford Econoline or a Chevy Express (some are even 4x4) and you put in a bed and you just buy a tiny fridge and a porta potty. The only thing for which you have to pay a little bit more are solar panels and batteries. That’s it. With 10k you can have the van of a lifetime. These all built vans just attract attention and when I camp I want to get lost.
