hi Kevin, it's great to watch you paint. I am buying your beginners dvds and cannot wait to start painting. Many thanks for your help, support and encouragement to all of us who love painting even though some of us are only beginners. AGAIN many thanks. Regards Ruth Clarke.
Kevin gives poetry and depth to this piece by alternating sunlight and shadow throughout. The beam of light piercing thru the leafy canopy draws the viewer past the arching trunks and branches-rendering the effect of recession by the bright light. I feel like I am deep within the painting. The landscape is warmed by the autumn tints-dabs and strokes of yellows, orange, and red- creating a pleasing texture and spontaneity suggesting the foliage above. The running water adds interest and action..the stream with gently moving ripples creates a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere, as well as good entry into the landscape. Masterful Kevin, brilliant palette, and composition. I agree with ones comment, it has a feel of Corot's painting , I find yours most beautiful, and well executed. Thanks for creating this wonderful place. God bless.
Extra excellent as you made us wait for this one. Phew ! I was getting withdrawal symptoms, I thought you had forsaken us but you must have had the muse with you wherever you have been as you have not disappointed us and another masterful, atmospheric beauty to absorb mixing subject and technique, to give me at least , food for thought and practice. Practice, practice, practice, that's the only way I'll get anywhere near you and that's what I'm doing every, but every day.I have some of your dvd's and digital downloads, BOTH EXCELLENT AND VALUE FOR MONEY. I know money is tight but sign up for Kevin's newsletter and sometimes you can have a download for $2 less and IF you have done your homework enough and watched Kevin's output you can even hear his voice as you go through the VERY detailed instructions. I make the recommendation on my experience of my purchases not any inducement or reward as the only reward I need is improvement in my new pastime.
Thank you Kevin for sharing your great talent! I am very fascinated of how you make painting look so easy. I am doing latex painting to make use of our left-over house paints and I usually get inspiration from your videos.
You are so talented! Thank you for sharing with us. Please don't stop! And make a whole lot of instructional DVDs because I now have all of them and would love even more. I try to change it up just a bit to make it my own, but your paintings are amazing. You are brilliant!
Hi Kevin I am really new to painting only started in July. But watching how you paint has really helped me improve my own painting. I enjoy your videos but could you put some more unedited ones on because the way you paint is brilliant to watch
Hi Kevin...i have got to say you are the best i have seen up to now...Great job...can you tell me what kind of paint you use....there is just one thing i dont like and its when the video skips.
Can someone please explain to me how the paint just slithers off his bush so lucidly while when i try it i have to push extra hard against the canvas to get the littlest paint off, and yes i've tryed putting on a drop of paint thinner, it works but messes up the painting after the paint gets too thin.
For sure it's the quality of the paints, he uses the best. If you pay attention you will see that he doesn't use extra linen seed oil or thinner but when he moves his hand while making the paint strokes you can see it shines and reflects his movements, that can only be achieved with top quality paitings. Brushes are important too.
It could be as simple as too much paint on the brush. I had the same problem when I first started out. It takes some getting used to using smaller amounts of paint. Best of luck.

It is almost a miracle ... a lot of dark colors transformed into an incredible masterpiece !!! 😉👍

Hi Maria- If he paint the canvas with liquid white, he can not paint with black acrylic paint. The liquid white is a oil base medium.
Hi, I don't think, and I know he doesn't use acrylics when he paints.

MR KAVIN HOW WE CAN GET YOUR DVD IN SRI LANKA ART SOPS
why do you not do a wash before you paint.
WOW!!!!!!

perhaps it is the quality of the tools you're using, or the amount of paint on the brush?

Well then im screwed, i can barely afford the paint i have now.
It could be as simple as too much paint on the brush. I had the same problem when I first started out. It takes some getting used to using smaller amounts of paint. Best of luck.
Is true one of the hardest things is to use just the right amount of paint
