2) Questions, 1st) Why is do they put the helm station on one side of the fly bridge, while the helm below is on the opposite side? 2nd) Do they put the helm on a fly bridge, on the side of the boat most frequently used to dock, making it easer for docking? Therefore wouldn't you want the same orientation below as well? or having the helm on opposite side offers, the best flexibility when docking? Your my 1st-ish or 2nd-ish, favorite boat presenter's, very British, kinda too proper. Opposed to Aquaholic, who's more flamboyant. Both of you are stalwart, and very good presenters, comfortable on camera, and the information you provide, is always clear and... precise Thank's from the US. Cheers!
lots of things seem to need a little attention on this one but im delighted to see that they did NOT put in a ridiculously oversized galley as is all the rage.
I worked on a Feretti 90'x back in the early 90's. That yacht was so,poorly designed that the AC system would leak onto the generators and kept getting them wet and literally blowing them apart. Then they put in a tray system and never designed a drain system, so the water filled up the tray and spilled out.....onto the generator. They eventually fixed it, but it was the craziest thing I've seen.
What a gorgeous boat for the Med or Florida. If you want to lounge in the sun this would be the boat. Then after everyone else leaves you will be COMFORTABLE!
I would naturally buy the missing masterpiece that encopasses a mixture of Ferretti 580 exterior styling with the Absolute 56 fly external space and and layout along with the Princess F55 luxury interior furnishing !
Design-wise, absolutely brilliant boat, I really like the style. Ergonomically, driving-wise, a disaster and something I as owner-operator unfortunately would have to turn away from. Nice review, thanks!
The fly-bridge helm (imho, of course) is to far aft, seem's, unable to observe the bow, nor the stern, seems like a disadvantage in when driving the boat in either direction, or attempting to dock, it's the worst of both worlds. It also appears that on the fly-bridge there is no comfortable position to place your feet under the helm, this leaves you sitting upright, like most people on the week-ends, I'm a slouch. The location diagram is a great touch to understand your orientation on the boat. The interior is stunning, the galley well laid out, convenient fore and aft for those who are hungry as well as the lushes on board. The master-suite is very impressive, beautiful and inviting, the mezzanine gives an extra sense of panache and excitement. Although that desk? One bad wave, it's on a long 'voyage' down to the floor! She's a beautiful boat, and should be in serious contention for purchase, although it needs more attention to small details (eg. storage for sink cover in galley, etc.) All, in all a great... boat
She a great looking boat. She got all you need, cockpit is very versatile. Need a side door from the helm, its a health and safety thing for me. Nice sunbathing pads at the bow but it would be nice for dinning ( Med stern onto quay, bow more private.) Prefer the flybridge to have the hard top and a higher windscreen. Salon plus Kitchen nice, comfy good entertaining space.. Nice cabins love that master cabin wow, love it - MINE. VIP nice but it needs to get the cabon door sorted. The engine room as its owner owned has everything to hand to check like the oil ect Apart from my nick picking nice boat will do well in Med or in colder climates.
Hi Jack, Single-piece windscreen with likely great visibility, interior detailing/finishing or production quality, which probably more competes with fit/finishing of the Y Class rather than with the F Class of Princess (what is interesting, I think, regarding to the actual competition between the British Big Boys ...correct me if I'm wrong that impression...), sleek design, dropdown balconies, extendable bathing platform... Fairline's Squadron 58 is considerably above this one, l think. It is outstandingly expensive for its class (at least to a typical show spec) Ibelieve, but it is above, I would say. Greetings from Germany.
If balconies are important for you yes. Note even Fairline is not convinced about them since it is all an option.... Their is a reason why, even though balconies arrived in 2008 in a sport yacht, they never arrived till today in a flybridge yacht with the exception of Galeon. How many Galeon's you see, not as much as Azimut/Ferretti/Prestige/Princess/Sunseeker
If there was a notable time lapse between the overall appearance of the balcony-concept and an establishment of these also among renown flybridge-models, then you know more than me. I had the impression (as someone who is not part of the industry) that there are certain current trends in the market, for instance aft galley-layout, growing width of the yachts (or general voluminisation) or increased living-outside-beach-club-area; and I had the impression that these balconies are part of these developments against which the manufacturers can hardly defend themselves. But also forgetting about the balconies, I think the point goes relatively for sure to Fairline.
Sadly, far too many compromises on this vessel. She just looks like the designers have tried to update an older version...best analogy I came up with is the adding of a smarter interior and a big exhaust onto a mundane family saloon, upping the BHP by 10 %, fancier wheels...a fail for me. Wouldn't even place it in my top 20. Just boring!
My only real issue is that I’d have to look for the emblem to identify this boat. The other side of this is that Ferretti makes a high quality boat. Any boat this size is going to have a lot of compromises. If you got a Nordhavn you’d have a lot more room in your engine room. But - you’d have less engine. 1 less.
Ferretti 580 vs azimut 53 vs absolute 56 vs galeon 560 vs fairline squadron 58 vs sunseeker superhawk 55 or manhattan 55 vs princess f55 😊which one is your no 1 favorite and least favorite one ? Curious. My no 1 is ferretti 580 Ferretti 580 the only yacht in the 50 60ish market that is a class a compliant. Other competitors like azimut 53 galeon 560 absolute 56 fairline squadron 58 sunseeker superhawk55, manhattan55 princess t55 they are all class b Even sunseeker 90 is class b.

Brilliant review Jack & team.
Wouldn’t make my short list, but still great to watch another Yacht Buyer sea trial.
Cheers Nic! - Jack

Just noticed the sharp angles of the wind shield area reminds me of 80's yacht design. The hull is very 2020's.

That perfectly summaries how high the standard is in this class. One of the most competitive in the market I reckon - Jack
Very classy interior! I like that motorized drop down window.
58 Ft. is Gorgeous Captn. Jack! Love this one 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you 🙏 - J
A very nice yacht overall, nice layout and classy design, I just felt the accommodation below decks was a little cramped. Nice tour Jack thank you.

Jack we are going to need an Umbrella for that Mini Control Room at the side😉 just in case it rains...

Good review Jack.
Hard to stand out in the crowded flybridge market, this Ferretti looks sharp with the hard top though 👍
I agree, great looking boat - Jack

Great video as always jack👍👍 60 foot boat 🛥️ your choice ferreti, sunseeker, or princess 60 foot??😊 thank you watching you from San Francisco
Good Products
Great tour, as usual, Jack. Driving positions are not right for me and the external design is looking dated, in my opinion.

Makes a change that it’s not IPS

This boat has a lot of competition in this sector of the market whilst well put together in my opinion there are better options

😊which one is your no 1 favorite and least favorite one ? Curious.
My no 1 is ferretti 580
Ferretti 580 the only yacht in the 50 60ish market that is a class a compliant.
Other competitors like azimut 53 galeon 560 absolute 56 fairline squadron 58 sunseeker superhawk55, manhattan55 princess t55 they are all class b
Even sunseeker 90 is class b.
Sirena 58 is class A and with better flybridge
Where will the Radar be placed?
I presume on a radar tower if the hard top isn’t specified… - Jack
Wow
Nice beautiful ❤️
❤
More style over substance?
What kind of engines does she has? Because in your first shot you are sitting between Volvo Penta, in the next shot MTU, then Penta’s, then MTU 😜
Wow, great spot, we must have got the b-roll mixed up in the edit. VP D13s is the answer! - Jack
Why did the engine change from Volvo to MAN?
It appears the b-roll was mixed up in the edit, apologies for that and good spot 👍 - Jack
580
I usually love the Ferretti boats and I really like elements of this one but my money would go elsewhere.

!
XD but it out to me and then the
Sorry but the British yachts do it better.
Very disappointed that
Ferretti produce such a boat, indifferent to most of the mass production boats; Ferretti had lost its Flair
