My family moved to Durbanville in the 1960's. When it was a village. It's unrecognisable now. But then you just showed the shops. There is so much more to see in Durbanville.
@victoriahewitt-coleman1112 yes I agree with you, shopping is everywhere, Aurora has wine farms and the scenery is beautiful, lovely residential areas.
My folks moved to Dvlle in 78, could barely afford a flat in the Ssuburbs..Moved to Dvlle bought land on a vacant hill, double story house followed as land was so plentiful and affordable then..Im still here, cant beat being halfway between CT and Stellenbosch..12 wineries in the Dvlle region is also a big plus.
Havent been around that area for ages must go and explore again. I am from Strand so a little far out for me but will make a plan. Tk u for your video informative for sure🙏💕
@@IaninCapeTown Thanks. Maybe show more of the historical side? There are old buildings, churches, dams and wildlife. This is a corner of heaven with so much to show....Introduce people to some of the 'locals'. Place the town in the centre of the frame, not as a background.
Sorry your video told me absolutely nothing about Durbanville, except a small shopping centre with shops and views, cannot make any informed decisions if I wanted to move there! 😅
@@hesterfarrell9945 Great schools, plenty private security companies competing with each other, lots of open green spaces , quaint coffee shops, restaurants.. think Paarl meets Somerset West. Lived her since 78, I'm going nowhere..until retirement in Hermanus..😅

Hi Ian, good to see someone talking about Durbanville. It's the best place in Cape Town for raising a family.

Great video of my hometown, I love it here.
Greetings from Chilliwack, BC, Canada! You have a new subscriber!
You need to show more of Durbanville. You basically made a vlog of you in Durbanville. Talk to locals ect. Drive around with a dashcam.
Thanks for your input
Love Durbanville

I love Durbanville , Welgemoed and surrounding areas 😊
I agree it is a beautiful place. Let me know if there is something specific you want me to focus on in my videos.

@@frustratedpoetess3589 Thanks for your input. I will build in that direction.
The best ever safe area in Cape T. You feel home when driving in Durbanville
My boss used to stay in Welgedacht, very close to D'Aria and a stone's throw from Clara Anna.

Let me know what you would like to see and get an idea of and I will make a plan.
I think swinging the phone around while talking will show more of the area. Or drive through the area pointing things out. @@IaninCapeTown
@@IaninCapeTown I was hoping to learn some history of Durbanville.

I don't know the area but it seems that you need a car because there appears to be no public transport. I may be wrong though.
There is some public transport, but limited. Uber runs pretty well here. Is there something you would want me to explore for you.
Thenk you for showing this aria
Thenk you very much for this
Good place for the Maploter's. Small farm dweller's.
Yes it could be.
We know what you look like, we don’t know what this town looks like.
Thanks for advice
Your videos would be so much better if you weren’t blocking the view in every single shot.
Thanks for the feedback
