I've had my share of flats on the E bike while out riding. But since adding slime to the inner tubes, my tires rarely go completely flat. I've also started carrying a rechargeable brick sized pump. It fits nicely in a top bar bag. Now its quick & easy to add air, most of the punctures are completely resealed by the time I get home. Great videos John 👍
what setup are you talking about on the front wheel? What did you change? Maxxis makes the best tires for MTB and I always use Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR on my DH bike. I even run the DHR on my Specialized Turbo Levo. Super grippy, and great tread. I love their soft rubber ST compound. not sure if you know this but the Maxxis comes in different casings. The casing is what gives the tire its puncture protection. Their DH casing is super stiff and I would use it on a Surron. I would run tubeless tires on the surron and you don't have to worry about pinch flats. Plus you can run lower pressure. If I was out riding in the hood I would carry a flat repair kit. You should have some tools and a patch kit and CO2 pump at the minimal.
Buy a Maxxis tyre WITH THE DOWNHILL casing. You'll be golden, these things are bulletproof. And if you could go tubeless even better, reduce the risks of flat a lot

just save your money for a car at 16 instead of the ebike cause trust me when you get to that age ur gonna want to drive. or try to get the ebike at 13 or 14 so you got plenty of time to ride it before u get a car
That sunringle MTX rim is a 50$ rim made for MTB Lol, same with the maxxis tire, its bicycle grade. It will be light weight, but probably not cut out for how you ride. 😂🤙
