The Craftsman V series tools are nice looking. Stanley Black & Decker seems to have incorporated Mac and Facom designs into the line. I do have gripes with the V series tools. They tend to skip sizes in the sets. The ratchets aren't serviceable. The prices seem a little high for what you get. Hopefully SB&D will continue to expand the line and fill in the gaps.
Yea look like mac,for sure!! this set skips like you said!! and yes thier pricey as well!! thier pretty decent ratchet wrench and smooth teeth, good fit, but they arnt my favorite, cant get used to feel of the i beam construction!! more to come my friend!!
The skips on this combo wrench set kinda sucks but the metric 3/8 socket wrench, sockets and extensions set I purchased recently in V-Series are beautiful. The only socket they missed on this metric V-series set was the 20mm socket. The case is awesome and I Love how they incorporated the 10 inch extension as the case handle.
I subscribed just because of this series you're doing on the ratcheting wrenches and have really enjoyed watching. You were the only one thus far that I've found who took a look at the Ironcube wrenches, thats how i stumbled upon your channel. I also have the 6 point box end set you referenced in this video you didnt want to show the brand of (recognized the part number starting with SW). I've had them for a couple years & got them when they were first released on amazon for a great price. Thanks for doing this series!! I'm in the market for a budget but decent 12 point set since the ones I have are only 6 point box ends at the moment.

Craftsman's V-Series combination wrenches are beautiful!! Too bad they skipped sizes in this particular set. Craftsman's Overdrive series tools are really nice too...I had to grab some of the Overdrive series stuff too.
Looks like the i beam allows for a thinner body, could be useful in tight situations. As a pro, i usually use double box ratchet wrenches. The only time ill use combos are in stubbies or solid non ratchetting.
Those are really nice. I really do like the V-series tools, but they are priced to high. I think If they lower the prices a little they would sell way more stuff. For example that set, for say $50-$60 bucks i think would be a better deal. I really like the new V-series ratchets, but they are just out of my price range.

I don't mind paying for good tools, but at that price poing it's hard to excuse having skips in a wrench set. As a person who owns a Buick SUV based on a GM light-duty truck frame, I really can't see skipping the 15mm. Not only is that a LOT of the body bolts in the GMT-360 platform, but it's also the oil plug if I recall correctly. I hate skips, I always manage to find the things that need those skipped sizes and then when you have to buy the single wrench, it won't fit into the portable container with the rest of the set..

I like the design and the wrench holder. But, I have to agree that the unpolished halo around the Craftsman looks TERRIBLE. And, everything was stamped except for the really cheap looking laser etched part number??

I have the Facom 440 set..that the MAC Precision Torque are modeled after.. (yes, the Facom 440 sets were around M7CH earlier than the MAC wrenches).. These Craftsman are yet another iteration of the Facom series...they're decent..but MAC wasn't the originators...👍
The way the beam is kind of reminds me of the Milwaukee wrenches but not as big. To me the Milwaukee wrenches are very comfy in the hand. Those just look like a smaller grip version not saying it’s from the same factory or anything it just reminded me of them. I actually kind of like that case since I work out of a tool bag it’s not terrible since you can toss it in and see if you’re missing anything but I do like my wrench rolls! TAKE A GANDER THE WRENCH SERIES GOES ON!!🏁

Stanley B&D has rebranded some of the facom/usag/MAC designs for craftsman. Those are a good value compared to what a tipical facom/usag/mac version go for. Skips don't bother me that much, tho i do agree they ahould be making a full set for the people thay want them.
These are the same (with few differences) as the FACOM, USAG, and MAC wrenches. They’re super nice, higher end wrenches for sure. Unfortunately, Craftsman sets have skips, which reduces the overall price. Regarding the chrome, most of the other variants are matte chrome so not as much polishing is needed. Combined with the design, it may be too expensive to go that extra mile for the polishing. Even the MAC Precision Torque are like that.

I have the regular v series combination wrenches for home use. The only reason I bought them was because of the case they come in and they are extremely similar to my Mac Tools wrench sets I have at work (all owned by Stanley Black and Decker). The reason your case was so difficult to open is because the larger wrenches are in it the wrong way. Longer part of the open end slips in under the tab. When open all the offsets of the boxed end should face the same direction. That little case is a huge advantage when climbing up onto or into a machine with a tool bag. The skips are really the only reason I didn't buy the ratcheting wrench sets.

Holy Crap. I just bought these off of Lowe’s. Your video makes them look so so much nicer than they are in the wild. These are hot garbage. I’m absolutely returning these. I wanted to try something different than my Tekton and Icon and can’t afford the Proto sets we have at work. My God, the Tekton and Icons are worlds better quality than these. I couldn’t believe it. The polishing on the Craftsman logo is so much worse in real life. The video shows the I beam to look pretty good (maybe comparable to Milwaukee). They are not. The wrenches feel oddly lightweight, probably due to the beam, but you can feel like they will bend easy in your hand. They are also oddly thin, almost like the thin wrench. The ratcheting mechanism seems ok, but the lever is super rough to the touch like the edges are sharp, and are also rough to switch. The actual gear feels like it might pop out. I didn’t put a bolt head or nut into the box end because I already decided I wanted to return. In my opinion they are no way worth the $91.00 I bought these for. They are worth about 40. I’d rather buy the Huskys at this rate. I really am bummed about what Craftsman continues to let itself be. This is the nail in the craftsman coffin for me.
I like the v series line I think the tools are very well designed but I do not like the size skipping on some of the wrench sets. These are almost identical to the Mac wrenches. The holder is virtually identical to my six point flex head wrench set holder except that’s a 12 piece set. These and the extra long double box set need to be re released in larger more comprehensive sets with no skips. They aren’t copying the Mac wrenches they are the same exact design since they are both Stanley black and decker owned tools. If you like six point ratchet wrenches you should check out the Mac precision torque six point flex heads. I have a set of them I got used for $160 which is more than half price after tax is added and they are really nice. Inn no personally like the Mac I beam design that these copy, they feel nice in the hand.
Jeff, I stopped by the flee market today and got this set of wrenches in the wrapper for $45. Looking them over since home all are polished better than your 19mm. All the fits to a hex key are better or average. One thing I do like is the the box if you grab the black ring their very little movement to the chrome housing. Question to me these wrenches seems to be lighter in weight than other brand of ratcheting wrenches ?
Why do u all Americans judge a tool by its chrome finish...🙆♂️🤦♂️. Polish chrome mirror finish sucks on hand tools. With little use it'll be covered in micro scratches everywhere. Industrial chrome finish is way better, will look the some in 20 years after daily use. Anyways...
As i stated in the video the meat and potatos is the fit on the fastner!!!!! chrome is for show!!! and yes if you use them they get scratched to hell!! some of my best tools are all scratched to hell, i dont care!! but that being said i still like when thier new in the chrome looks nice!! thanks for your input!!

Looks like its scale left over from after it was stamped. They didn't clean it off well enough before they chrome it. I think?

These are a good deal considering the Facom ones which are the exact same thing even with the same holder are over 200 dollars for a 10 piece set.

Milwaukee has the IBeam style and Milwaukee is stamped and the crome is weird just like these craftsmans
