Question for the Red Text hosts: are there any blogs/channels that you'd recommend following which dive into the subject of what would be called folk Catholicism, especially with working with the saints?

Sister Karol's Book of Spells, Blessings, & Folk Magic by Karol Jackowski is a good place to start. Another book would be Encyclopedia of Mystics, Saints & Sages by Judika Illes is another resource. 😊

Folk Catholicism is still Catholicism so reading up on the stories and lives of saints and their miracles are a great way to start. Judika Illes has a very comprehensive "Encyclopedia of Mystics, Saints and Sages" that is a good foundation to initiate your saint knowledge.
We also recommend "The Way of The Rose: A Radical Path of the Divine Feminine Hidden in the Rosary" by Clark Strand & Perdita Finn very often on the podcast. it is a fantastic way to view the Rosary from a more esoteric lens and help you connect with Mary.
And lastly, read through the Psalms. They are full of magick and spell work that you'd be able to work effectively into your practice. "Powers of the Psalms" By Anna Riva is a constant resource we use in our practice as it breaks down the Psalter into what kind of work each passage can be used for.
      Hope this helps!

Super cool because I worship and work with Mary and the Egyptian goddess Aset together much like she does with Diana. The synchonicities with her being the mother of all, mother of Horus compared to Mary being the mother of Jesus is really interesting and definitely not a coincidence. It works for me.

Love this! I was named after Our Lady of Pilar in Spain. I'm Spanish/Italian/British. The Lady of Pilar has to do with a pillar that connected heaven and earth, much like Jacob's ladder. That's all I know, I need to Google it, lol! There are so many similarities between Italian and Spanish folk magic. I'm not able to access the Italian magic info from my family anymore, but can still get Spanish info, but not much. 🕯🌛🌕🌜🔮🪄🧹🃏✌️❤️😄 Edit: Ya'll are talking about St. Michael and remember that St. Michael isn't a god, and think about how many thousands of people are asking him for protection. I swear almost every tarot reader asks him for protection before they do a read. That in itself, I can't believe how busy he must be. So I'd say give him time, lol! 😄

thank you for your insight! You're absolutely right. Cultivating a relationship with Michael takes time and patients.
