Anil Kumble and Ravi Ashwin sitting and talking about 600 wickets is a visual that brought a joyous smile to my face! Two incredible servants of the game. Two stalwarts who made the best of their abilities and I have the greatest respect for.
I follow Ashwin on the TH-cam. He is adorable. He is down to earth and humble and at the same time very competitive. He runs the channel to educate the fans on the finer aspects of the game. His love for the game comes through. He follows the world cricket including Women's cricket and is up to date on all the happenings in cricket world.
I always think that Ashwin is more hungry than Kohli in the later stages of career,Look Kohli now he is not that same Kohli who used to bat the opposition out of the game during 2016/19
i would love to see him but finger spinners are almost extinct in odis they are not useful unless its an alrounder like jadeja, Axar and shakib, ashwin is not attacking enough to play as an allrounder for the ODIs
My favourite player - Ravichandran Ashwin. Previous the Sydney test where he made a draw with Hanuma Vihari, my favourite was Virat. After that I got a bit more in seeing cricket, the way he reinvented himself as a pinch hitter for Rajasthan in IPL. Then comes his wit and his respect grew even more he didn't post the tweet Govt. of India which many like Sachin, Rohit, Virat did. He even pointed out the ANI news for spreading fake news of rift between him and Virat. For me he not only is a great cricketer but a person of integrity, courage and determination.
One of the best storytellers in sports commentary. He can narrate even the basic of facts in a story format to make it more appealing for the audience ❤️🙏
Yes, Ashwin is all of that and more, and the duration of this video is only 6 minutes. Yet, Harsha told a story that was as full-bodied as a full length novel. I already envy his grandkids, because they are going to have arguably the best storyteller for grandpa...
How many players facing the last ball in a T20 match (India-Pakistan, MCG 2022) requiring two runs to win can leave a delivery alone without doing anything which was later called a wide? This speaks volumes of Ashwin's cricketing sense.
Harsha Sir, I want to be cricket presenter ....although I am in my early 40s, the passion to become a sports presenter is always there in me. I just love the way you articulate and present a subject.Would love to meet you
Wow... that message of what humans can do is personified by Ash.. what he stands for as a craftsman is beyond words.. Also I remember him saying once on Anil Kumble on us fans - "Half of Anil's career went in proving people wrong.." Hope it doesnt turn out that way, of Ash couldnt do this or ash couldn't bowl here.. or Ash isnt that Bedi like or warne like..
Just Wow.. Harsha.. u r an incredible commentator & lover of this sport & a super positive individual. When u said Tamil words "kutty & periya stories" - (small & big stories in Tamil), it brought smiles on my face.. Tq for this kutty & awesome video. Yes, Ash Anna tells us always that a thinking mind can do miracles ! Would love to see Ash Anna @ 620 wickets one day & reach No.1 spot for our Country!
Ashwin is the one who got me to test cricket in 2020 (BGT series). I was a huge T20 fan before, since like 2010, but Ashwin's YT videos got me to watch Test cricket (and btw I was shocked to see his Wikipedia page in 2020 regarding his test stats). I didn't know he was that good. I'm not sad that I couldn't see Kallis play live cuz Ashwin is here
It always gives a blissful feeling when Harsha Sir making his opinions on any players or stats or whatever it could be.. We can really feel the way he illustrates his thoughts and appreciates one's skills , abilities abd talents! ❤
For me, this stays in mind always. Ind vs Pak T20 World Cup, he comes to bat in a pressure situation. See how well he reads the game. Karthik got out for the previous ball which goes on the leg side. Ashwin doesn't move and the ball goes leg side and declared wide. 1 run 1 ball.
Harsha ji also throw d number how many matches he was made to sit out faced humiliation by his then captain and Coach even u justified d decision by them. No team other than india would drop lunch a performer.
Ashwin is going to join commentary pannel ahead and will amaze everyone with his English skills I really his communication skills though Once he confused nasser hessian very badly in london at sky sports event
better late than never Harsha...that mumbai glasses of viewing talents down south will always delay appreciating genuine talents...but mostly never lets them blossom.
Harsha, I really love your opinions. I just have one suggestion. The sound is a bit off in your videos. My only suggestion would be to improve this. I feel your opinion deserves the best sound effects. Maybe you can speak to ashwin on this. He seems to be very accomplished as a youtuber as well
You did pronounce Dindigul wrong 😆...And your headshake is 'vera level' 😁. Thanks for your tribute to Ash. I do feel he's not got the credit he deserves. Much has been said about his ineffectiveness outside India. Regardless of whether there is any substance to that claim, his achievements need to be celebrated the way India celebrates stars like Kohli or Rohit. After becoming a subscriber to his YT channel, I realized just how much of a normal and nice guy he is.
Taking 100 wickets is equal to scoring atleast 2500 runs, Ashwin wickets are more than 12500 runs. Plus add the runs he scored. He is equal to legent like Virat interns of impact in test cricket.
A great point made by Harsha at end. But I just can't help but think about what could have happened if Ashwin was provided with more opportunities overseas. We always see people talk about Ashwin not getting 5-fers overseas but the fact is, he's a much improved bowler than his initial days. He was pretty good in the ENG&AUS series (2018) and was largely held back due to his injuries. He had some 4-fers I reckon. AUS series in 2020 was particularly great and he was one of the top wicket takers in the series. While I get frustrated that Jadeja replaces him for all the OS tours, the reason to choose Jadeja is still legit cuz of 4 pacer thing and batting in the top order not being up to the mark and Jadeja does add good, consistent performance for the team. How I wish, we can see more of Ash in OS and deliver more better performances..
This question should be asked to VK, shastri and dravid, rohit combo as to why they didn't pick ashwin consistently in playing 11 while playing in SENA conditions, whenever we play in india and if ash gets MOM, VK and rohit didn't have much words when it comes to praising him but what happens to him when we tour overseas that's a mystery. Rohit and VK don't know how to use ashwin in SENA conditions.
Every Indian fan would have fantasised if a person had Ashwin mind and Jadeja body and its impact . Nevertheless we have two genuine world class spinners who can bat and India is richer by that
With batting dominated teams all rounders don't get spots in middle orders or top orders usually. While in a weak batting orders all rounders get more opportunities at the top. Hence, there is chance you could get a true all-rounder. While others are considered batting or bowling all rounders. Even if they get opportunities like James Faulkner, a bad patch could mean demotions.
Thanks Harsha... I have heard you say more than once that Ashwin went through a dark/bad phase in 2017. Was that due to the Champions trophy final game and subsequently losing the white ball place to Kul-Cha?
Sir, why was he dropped in world test championship finals? Why is he always getting dropped in England? Sir why he played only one match in 50 overs World Cup ? Sir why was he never made Indian captain? If you don’t know the answer, can you pls get the answers from Shastri, Kohli, Rohit and Dravid?

@@SunilPokhrel-wo9ew exactly I feel that Kohli has lost the hunger he once had . He is content at where he is now .
Very true. 🎉
Ashwin should give comeback in ODIs. He will be good addition for champion's trophy & world cup💯❤️🔥
Last time what happens at CT 2017. He was dropped becoz of lack of taking wickets in middle overs.
i would love to see him but finger spinners are almost extinct in odis they are not useful unless its an alrounder like jadeja, Axar and shakib, ashwin is not attacking enough to play as an allrounder for the ODIs

In my opinion Aswin is silent killer. He is always grounded irrespective of his great bowling performance.

Mominul dismissal in the second innings was the highlight

Only batsmen are considered legends. Bowlers are always secondary.
He is bigger than Virat in tests
Anil and Ashwin….Let’s celebrate both of them equally. Though I am personally inclined towards Anil “Jumbo”
