Great work Ski Dad. Was very excited for you to represent this product because you are an excellent skier, articulate, and appear a great Dad and person. Rock on!
It's cool that Carv is pushing the product in new ways to help skiing beyond just the groomed terrain. Learning to carve is cool. Learning to ski the whole mountain is better.
Never thought about CARV for off-piste skiing. Really interesting to hear the 45 deg angle which looked right, totally agree you dont want huge carve angles when going through trees :) Enjoyed seeing Ski Dad in the video
Hey Joe, your enthusiasm and skiing excitement is infectious. I watched all your videos on your channel. Great job! Skiing with Ted Ligety was a masterpiece. Thx a mil for your amazing job! How to ski with you one day.
Skidad on CARV TV, this is like worlds colliding in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Great video! Just got my Carv and taking them to Steamboat this weekend.
Great video let’s see more of Ski dad! Very interesting hearing about which carve values to look at. When I run Mogul, my ski IQ plummets from 130-140 to in the 90s. It would be great to hear more strategies on Skiing Mogul with carve.
I love carving as much as the next guy, maybe more. I also love skiing off piste and in the trees. It was truly an honor to work with the great people at carve to go over some ways to improve your off piste skiing and use CARV to do it. Enjoy!
Before watching kind of thought this was ridiculous as CARVE doesn’t premiere off-piste skiing when it comes to SkiIQ, BUT I love the way you use it and I realized that rather than fixate on IQ all the time, I can use this tool to see where I am in the condition of the day, whether powder or icy groomed slopes.
😮 My goodness this brings back memories....................i did this way back when..... 1990s, Scottish Freestyle team, my discipline was moguls but my true love was off piste. That's the truth, I'm genuinely not taking the "piste" Long live the Scottish freestyle team circa 1996........yeeeeeee haaaaaaaaw
Hello. Do you think that your edge angle would be the same if you change the tuning of your skis ??? Your skis are preapared at 0/0,5/1/1,5 degree sole side??? Thanks
@@stevekaiser3968 why be a jerk. This is meant for skiers going where they shouldn’t be going or others having accidents. How many times did I have to help someone stuck in the glades for one reason or other and if it was end of day, life for patrollers would be much easier.
Ski Dad and CARV is a good mix. We haven’t got enough snow yet for any off piste skiing (IMO) up in the Pacific Northwest but looking forward to using your tips with CARV to rid myself of bad habits as an intermediate level skier. ⛷️
Great that Ski Dad is involved with Carv, really like his own you tube channel.

Thanks, Joe was brilliant to work with!

Thank you - we’re stoked to ski the whole mountain too!
Love it that you included playfulness as well as that moment of serenity one feels while stopping for a moment while skiing in the trees.

Been watching Ski Dad this season, and am glad to see him team up with Carv!

props to ski dad and whoever chose the music. so good!
snow in the forecast next week for SLC - just in time for our visit. Great video! I've just entered my 4th decade of skiing, this was helpful.
Perfect instructional video. Can't do it any better than ski dad ✅

We suggest having a look at which of your metrics are lower to know where to focus your practice - bumps give your technique no where to hide!
My man you are a beautiful skier . A delight to watch . Cheers
Hello Skidad..really enjoy learning from your videos..thanks so much
I love the Carve instructor videos. They find some really solid talent.
We love our instructors

It was a pleasure to work with you too Ski Dad! See you soon

Great video. I ski in Rustler 9's also!
Looks like the next video is how to repair rock damaged ski
Fingers crossed for snow 🤞
I already made that video 😊
How to Ptex repair a ski - Simple real life demonstration

it’s skidad tv!! congrats
Hey ski Dad -
Is that the new Rustler 9?
Yes and I love it!
Awesome skiing
Is it possible to use carve without an ski instructor if some skills are already existing.
Hello. Do you think that your edge angle would be the same if you change the tuning of your skis ??? Your skis are preapared at 0/0,5/1/1,5 degree sole side??? Thanks
Yes ski Dad!
I find off piste skiing a lot easier than on piste. Once a guide told me not to jump so much, because it s bad style
That voice would make me go nuts!!! 😂
What skis are those?
2024 Blizzard Rustler 9 and they are so good!
nice
Most of the skiing here really doesnt look off piste by europeam terms ? A bit less smoth than the groomed piste but not deep off piste snow
I usually ski piste off.
Why would you title a video "How to ski off piste" and you don't explain how?
Great stuff, however, some of us would prefer not to ski that fast - how about you doo g the same off piste clinic ski the off piste terrain slower
You don’t need background music whatsoever, quite annoying at your chosen volume especially.
Music too loud, makes it uncomfortable to watch IMO
I believe people skiing off piste should be required to wear a tracker and register at the base with the Patrol team.
Stay on the bunny slope ot better yet stay home

What a totally useless video! But a good work selling what you were paid for.
Good skier and very poor instructor.
