I was playing Rocket League with my friend when KSG came out. He isn’t a huge hip-hop fan and isn’t familiar with Cudi, but a couple of minutes into Reborn he put his controller down and said “wow this guy has overcome a lot”. I said “yeah it’s Kid Cudi”, but then it hit me just how profound Cudi is as an artist. The song had kind of faded into the background for me as just another Cudi song about personal struggle and triumph. But it fully captured my friend who had no connection to his music before that moment, and took him to another zone where he had to fully stop what he was doing and gather his thoughts

I argue it's fair use with people talking over the tracks it's not replacing the market for the original product or negatively affecting the sales of the album. If anything it's like promotion. People play video games entirely through and promote them and I hope in the future there is some way that music and reaction channels can react to entire albums without having to make edits outside of the one's they wants to make.
“Blonde” is an album I wanna see your dad react to. I think it’s the perfect album for him. I know you get a lot of requests, but “Blonde” would be awesome. Keep up the good work!
Channel Orange first..then "Blonde"
@@7octombrie endless second and then blonde
That would be great
"blond"
holy blond would be wonderful
It’s so dope that you guys are having great success with this. Speaks volumes about the content you guys are putting out. Looking forward to what’s to come!
It's really rare that a channel rather early in it's lifetime immediately hits the ground running and continues to improve from there with every video. If I hadn't known that you haven't been doing this for years, I really would never have been able to tell.
Keep it coming, I look forward to every video you guys post!
Your dad's excitement over some of these Cudi and Kanye tracks got me real inspired by them again. They are truly up there as two of the most creative musicians of our time.
That Reborn reaction, that's why it's my favorite song of all time.
Anyone else hear God is Perfect playing right after Cudi Montage wraps up lmaoo, would love to see a Gibbs reaction preferably Piñata.
Happens at 24:57
One two mic checka
haha yeah my spotify is always tweaking
brooo i was getting ready to comment the same exact thing! such a unique intro
Reborn hits different when you're in that place, thats for sure.. your dad has such a keen ear for music. picks up on the most subtle things in beats that make a big difference on the track. recognizing all those little details, on first listen, is amazing
The part in cudi montage when the beat drops hit so hard everytime
ksg is honestly one of the most beautiful albums I have listened to.
man your dad is gonna be surprised at how different all of Kanye's albums are
Yeezus will be a banger
absolutely beautiful how the track 'Reborn' made your dad feel and the way he describes it.. Amazing, keep it up you guys.
That’s exactly how I feel when I listen to it, every time it’s like im in heaven so i don’t have to kill my self to get there
I love how much your pops loves Cudi. I feel the same as him
I CAN STILL FEEL THE LOVE
These videos are so good, not a single one has disappointed so far. There's just so much joy to be had in watching an open minded person discover new music through somebody close to them, and the live listening experience brings that to a whole new level. Please don't stop! I'd love to see reactions to Mac Miller's Swimming or Circles, Flower Boy/IGOR, Yeezus, Ye, Good kid maad city, or Kanye's first two albums!
Thank you so much Joshua :)
MOTM II. If he loves MOTM that much I would love for him to hear II.
Can’t forget the third. 1 and 2 have a ton of nostalgia attached for me but the third might honestly be my favorite
@@adamseamusic I also love 3! But 2 is my favorite album of all time.
Jackson G Agreed, not a single skip on the second MOTM.
Yeah he has to hear the fusion between psycedelic rock and rap/hip hop.
That or passion pain and demon slaying. Both great albums I'd I'd ged like.
“They have that?”
Imagine how the fans felt 😂
Reborn really let me get my pent up emotions out. Being a person who held everything in it was amazing listening to Reborn and your father closing his eyes to the humming listening to each different hum is so amazing for me to see someone other than me appreciating the song. Made me happy thank you guys
this entire album still gives me chills
What about "Awaken My Love!" by Childish Gambino? Incredible instrumentation and extremely moody.
Random Access Memories by Daft Punk is also one of the finest recorded and produced records of all time. Since he's into production I think he'd appreciate that
Great recommendation
If they did awaken my love I'd drop everything and watch it immediately lmao. love that album, great recommendations guy!
@@alexturner7622 yooo he did it!
This album dropped at a real low point in my life and that song reborn complete changed my whole perspective on everything and dragged me out of the hole. Amazing what music can do. Love the channel by the way only found it today. Keep it up 👊
Albums your pops has gotta listen to!!
Acid rap- chance
Faces- Mac miller
The Waters- Mick Jenkins
Blond- frank ocean
It’s blonde
really really want him to listen to " 808's and Heartbreak
Swimming !
@@phatrick Both are proper
@phatrick what is blonde?
His reaction to Reborn was exactly mine as well. So amazing to watch him experience that.
Reborn hit a lot of people hard. Still gives me those “shivers”
Yall have to do Currents by Tame Impala, he would fucking love it
FACT !
One of my favourite albums of all time..and am a big hip hop head
lonerism would probably be better first then currents
@@bigman3274 or the slow rush, that album is still overshadowed by currents although it is just as good and better in some aspects
@@bigman3274 innerspeaker slaps . Expectation go hard
I love seeing this father son relationship and really envy it. Makes these reactions oddly comforting to watch. Keep it up!
I feel the same
Love the vulnerability that both u guys especially pops gives in the reactions to the songs! That’s such a big part of why I love watching reaction videos on TH-cam. It’s great so see how people feel listening to the music that made me emotional. Keep up the great work
Awww I was so excited to see his reaction to “ *WHERE THE CHORUS* “
Life changing experienced when I listened to Kids See Ghosts during my first ever Acid Trip. It took me out of a scary place and made me cry tears of joy that I am alive and have the ability to keep moving forward. Forever greatful to Cudi and Kanye
Beautiful to hear. Lsd with good music can bring so much healing.
4th dimension woulda sent me to an instant bad trip
@@jamesl3426 since I listened to the album beginning to end it really was part of the journey. Kinda how a trip can have its insanely nice moments and moments of negative reflection. It was part of life. And it all ends with “Heaven lift me up” on Cudi’s montage
Watching the release of the album live, them at the bonfire. I heard Reborn and it just hit me. During it and the rest of the night, before track list wast put out, I was telling everyone on social media "Keep Moving Forward" was a masterpiece.
Kanye approached Cudi and said he wanted to do a spiritual album.
After his Man On The Moon and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy review I'm hyped for this
the day that this came out will always remain an undefeated part of my adolesence.
I could replay this album 500 times and it’d still be like the first time listening
I’ve never EVER had on notifications on a channel until now. The chill vibe between y’all, the authenticity of Dads reaction, his knowledge and curiosity of music is just amazing. This channel is an instant favorite. Suggestions: ye, Blonde, The Life of Pablo, Good Kid Maad City.
Man seeing ur dad react to Reborn gave me the chills. Hope whatever he’s going through right now I hope he transcends with whatever his goals are. Love this
Cudi's montage was the best for me then Reborn. Whatever your father felt in Reborn I felt in Cudi's Montage.. Literally got goosebumps and still will get em every time. It was like the release of emotions. And it said so much.
Samee
lmaoooo Dad and Son
S: "Did you like his wrong hole line?"
D: "yeah...I've... im not gonna expand on the..."
S: "yeah, please dont expand on the joke"
I was wondering how they were going to react to that line hahaha
mom's reaction oof
100% go through all cudi albums with your dad and show him how he’s progressed and developed since MOTM.. especially PPDS he Will love the hums that’s where it pops off and just project in general. Great work. Love the channel.
It's so nice to see Wayne Coyne spending quality time with his son, Julian Casablancas.
Lmao
Naw I thought this was Mitch Marner and his dad.
Reborn is one of my favorite songs to this day. Such an uplifting song if you’re going through some ish. Goosebumps every time I listen to it.
CAR SEAT HEADREST - TEENS OF DENIAL!! One of the best albums ever made, and that’s coming from a hiphop artist
this one right here
Imagine these dudes listening to beach life in death lmao
Twin Fantasy tho
i hate csh
At this point you’ve got to run through the Kanye discography. To only know post-808s Ye is almost a disservice - he pushed rap forward with his first 3, and then the passing of his mother pushed HIM forward. Your pops will appreciate it, I feel it!
Ye is so underrated
TCD should be done first
@@byRyanStevens biggest rapper ever and biggest black artist ever, i don't think he's underrated lol
This was my album while dosing off psilocybin for an entire winter. Literally cured my depression.
After Hours - The Weeknd, I would love to hear your father’s thoughts on it. From the vocals, to the production, to the story of heartbreak.
Seeing your dad close his eyes during Cudi's humming in Reborn made me extremely excited to know he enjoyed that moment the same way we all did when we first hear it. waiting for MOTM2&3!
Reborn might be the best song I’ve heard in 10 years it gives me the shivers and makes me cry.
Can't wait to see the review of Swimming!
same can’t wait for swimming then circles
Mac miller was beautiful soul
For sure! Circles after
Beautiful thing about Mac's music, every album is like a different chapter of his life, rip to the goat, I hope they do KIDS
@@gunmai5358 doubt his dad would care for KIDS
I was just listening to this album after watching the Man on the moon video you guys did. I am really glad I found you guys! good work and I'm excited to see your dad enjoy the glory of Cudders
