The number 1 question I get all the time is how do you do it? How do you host all the time with such ease? So today I will be sharing all of my tips and tricks on how I host parties and different events all the time as a busy working mom.

The home is inviting, gives a true meaning to being a gracious host, delicious food (we eat with our eyes first) and most of all a loving atmosphere. I made teriyaki salmon for my parents for Christmas Eve dinner as I wanted something quick and easy because I was working as well as cooking a big meal for Christmas Day lunch. It turned out so well, really moist and delicious, although I cheated by sprinkling garlic powder on the fish before coating in the sauce as I had no time to do the garlic in oil. I served it with egg fried rice (bought ready done), stir fried veggies in oyster sauce and noodles dressed in toasted sesame oil, lime juice and scallions. I chopped my veggies the night before to save time. Thanks for your helpful tips! ❤

You are 100% correct. A happy host is a fun host. I now shower and dress 45 minutes before everyone arrives (my husband helps the little ones) so that the stress is decreased. You made this suggestion for Shabbos a while ago and it really works. THANK YOU for your videos, you are very busy so they take time, but we ALL LOVE THEM and appreciate the time/effort it takes for you to share your wonderful, time saving and helpful hints.

Please tell me how do you Jewish moms do it, I never see a kid throwing a tantrum, whining complaining or being annoying during "sacred moments" as lightning shabbat candles, and many other occasions. HOW do you do that please!!
Kids are kids and mine do every one of the things you mentioned.
Also, a fun host is a happy host. If you have enough margin to be having fun you will be happy and so will your guests. I have a lot of people in my home as well and I totally agree with your sentiment. Happy new year to you all.
Still gotta be careful with parties…. Always someone who goes sick and doesn’t let on…my husband is now sick…I’m hoping my children and I won’t catch whatever he has. Very nice intro. Better than another lady whose all about Hanukkah being a minor holliday…. It’s really not so minor. It has an important message that the whole world can learn from-more than just one-but one major lesson-or a few-don’t give into ways against God and fight for your beliefs. And don’t be afraid to be different. 💙

On Passover one year I was just getting over the Flu I had 3 children who had it also. My sister let her RIP made a salad at my house she bought over the ingredients I kept Kosher she didn't. LOL after the salad was finished she said I have to run out to the car I forgot the croutons, I couldn't stop laughing, my mom said Wendy I taught you better.

I am highly allergic to dairy, looked like most of your dishes could be made Pareve. I thought the baguettes looked awesome. My grands would love them and the salads. I love letting them help me also.
What night of Hanukkah do you usually host a party or go to one? Also do you do gifts every night?
It varies each year. We gift gifts a few times during the holiday.

Do you buy all your groceries at a special kosher orthodox supermarket?
Yes, most often I do because I don’t have to worry if the products I am buying are kosher. It’s like a one stop shop.

So, it was interesting to see all the men in one room and all the women in another. Seems like that's the way parties go the world over.
Yes! I find that at every party we all just gravitate to one another.
Prep kids were adorable…Mr. Prep was a big help as always, and Sonya, you are the hostess with the mostest! Only you could pull that evening off and still enjoy your guests. Everyone looked happy and thrilled to be there! I could taste the teriyaki salmon! Parents of one or two would have ordered in the whole thing, but your loving hands touched every morsel. You save time and energy where you can, which makes total sense. Well done Madame Prep!

How often do you host guests for Shabbat? It seems you make a lot of food so I was wondering if it’s also food for the upcoming week or that you always have lots of friends over for Shabbat?

A tip for a fun saled, is an Israeli salad (finely chopped tomato and cucumber) then add on top falafel balls and drizzle with tchina.
I agree about the prices for groceries......its just nuts!! Floods in 1 area & droughts in another area affecting the crops while driving the prices up for those grocery items.

My husband and I used to host a mid week gathering at which I provided a simple meal. Start time was usually 6:30 (I'd come straight from work to get things finalized), but one time a guest arrived before 5:00!!! I should have used more of your prepping ideas because I definitely did NOT feel like a happy, fun host in that moment!!

@@SonyasPrep well if my husband and I had been there I would have made my husband eat a bit before we came. My husband can eat alot and if there was fish you would have had to watch him closely or he would have taken the tray and eaten it himself lol 😆 😜

Quick tip when boiling beets. Put the beets in a bag and either steam it or boil it. Less messy!

Sonya, on the shell pasta with pesto sauce that you made, did you let the 250 oven warm up the sauce or did you heat the pesto and cream a little on the stove before pouring over the pasta?
