Former GP Coach Rajko Toroman said during his time as HC, the tallest player he had was 6'11 naturalized player and the rest were mostly collegiate players standing 6'2 or less with no international experience. But today under CTC, he had the size in 7'3 Kai, 6'10 Junemar, 6'9 Carl T., 6'9 , Japeth, 6'8 Amos, 6'7 Justine, 6'5 Calvin O., 6'4 Dwight and Kevin Q., and 6'2 CJ and Chris N and players with international experience.

Even without Kai the team did very well against Brazil but they ran out of steam and could not counter a change in Brazil's game strategy.

Kai Sotto had an injury, a back injury, prior to playing in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Manila which caused him to miss the training and tune up games abroad. In the 2024 OQT, he suffered a rib injury during the game against Georgia due to a flagrant foul and probably also a back injury as Georgia's center fell over his back whe he laid flat on the floor which caused him to miss the 2nd -4th quarters of the game and of the semifinals game against Brasil. If Kai Sotto was only 100% fit before and during the games, the GP team would have won a couple of games in both tournaments.
