670 for 2 minutes :o My 1 min max is only about 600. Can't imagine how it must feel to do that for another minute. The pro's watts will never cease to amaze me. I am pretty ass on a bike though with an ftp of only around 260w.
@@YannickLB was it a low intensity ride? Is the rider on a Keto lifestyle? What was his carb / cal burn per hour based on his riding? How experienced is the rider? Even pros train early on to have their bodies use fat resources for long low intensity rides during the off-season. They may take no more than 40g per hour of carbs on some rides. It’s all facts and circumstances based.
@@marcelsow5817 There's no intensity in wich 480 kcals is enough for that duration. Even sitting still at home burns more than that for most people. Keto Lifestyle and still eating 120 grams of carbs? Also: why would you want to make progress AND not eat enough carbs? It litterally contradicts itself. More experienced riders can get away with less carbs on a non-race day. But 40 carbs as a pro is a case of a more experienced rider still getting in more than 120 carbs in 6,5 hours. It would last them 3 hours to be exact. And that's already pushing the limits of fatmax training.
One of my favourite riders is Victor, he's always up for a breakaway, and isn't shy to laid it all out on the road,
Great guy and Great Rider
0:33 160w intervals, interesting! Maybe I could turn pro after all
Maybe he meant 1600? 😂
Think he said 670 then 2nd a bit less and third also dropped a bit
@@mebunzing shhh I can’t become a pro if you tell them
Very insightful, thanks for sharing. I love how Victor just tells it how it is, no beating around the bush 👌🍻
Fair play Victor, you always share the behind the scenes info about being a pro-bike rider. Best of luck on next races!
Just below 4WKg, thats like easy pace for a pro rider... 🥴 For most fit humans that is threshold 😄 great video Victor!
5:29 is the best view of all 😂😂
Well damn! That Criterium du Dauphine ride was great to watch!
2:15 De Gendt working on destroying twitter again... 😂
a really good look inside the Importants of nutrition. Everything has a purpose. Thanks a lot
Thanks for sharing this info Victor.
more video like this, showing his training days
Zware crash gisteren, heel jammer voor jou en voor iedereen eigenlijk want je kleurt de koers altijd :) Goed herstel gewenst Vocsnor! ♥
Лучший!👍
I only can make threshold at 4w/kg and very difficult too improve 😥
Hi Victor, this crash looked really nasty. But I trust it will end up OK 👍
insane number you have dropped. you can be proud of yourself

how heavy are you?
@@pennyblue6372 69 kg in the morning. So probably around 70-71 on the bike.
Other bot taking piss in background
Hectical
Bro how do you measure how much you've peed? Do you pee in a bottle or what?
"We ride 4 w/kg which is an easy pace for a pro rider" Yeah, most of amaterus would dream having an FTP of 4 w/kg, let alone that be their zone 2.
4 W/kg is my Low Zone 3
"I used to be the hour record holder and I didn't need the little ring then, so why would I need it now?"
this man eats 120 grams per hour i did 6.5 hours today on 120 gram of carbs total 😅😅
Was it 6.5 hours “…just under 4 w/kg, which is kind of easy for pros”? 😂😢 4w/kg is what I’d do the 3x2 intervals at…geez
That's just dumb. 480 kcals in 6.5 hours. Nice way to destroy your body and get overtrained, undereating 4000 kcals.

Wow, Victor's talk about nutrition reminds me of someone talking same way for more than 10y 🤔🤔🤔🤔 hmmm who can that be ?
