Nice to watch these videos without advertising some new ‘freebie’ products they have been given to use. Also he is keen to listen and learn and understands that he is at the start of what I’m sure will be a very successful career. Look forward to watching the World’s this weekend. Good luck !
A very informative and well produced video Cam. I was willing you on during the live feed from CGN, it was interesting to see your progress in the race. Well done. Also good to see how you look after yourself with the cooking and chores etc. Good luck on your next race, I will be watching with interest.
this is great, Cameron! as amateurs, best part is knowing what to focus on the pre-race recon. As an amateur, we often only get one, maybe two laps in, so have to be sharp about it.
Great video, Cameron. If you can do all of that, racing against MVP and a pack of insanely talented beasts..., I can nut up and head out to the last local CX race of the season this Saturday. Inspiration --> Action. Well done, brother!
Bravo Cameron, well impressed mate. Great to see how dedicated you are, please keep it up, stick to it over the next few years, however tough it gets, you have the talent, ..keep believing .
Super interesting insights in the course of a race day. Most of the time we only get to see a one hour race on television. Showing us what is going on as soons as getting out of bed until arriving back home, is a real treat. Enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks for the video Cameron! Oh and also ... great race!
Great insight into a day of racing Cameron , after all that effort I definitely wouldn't be treating myself to BROCCOLI though , you must be really dedicated
Thank you very much, Cameron, for sharing your CX insight. You are absolutely inspirational, and I couldn't find a better vlog to watch together with my 8 yo son. Keep on training, believing, falling and standing-up and, above all, enjoying the big gift you have in life!
Ahhhhh the things you do for the luv of the sport. Those Belgian farm fields used for races when wet, turns the course into a mud & cow poop slurpee. You're a better man than me Cameron. Btw you can now add to your resume passed & overtaken Van Der Poel in a UCI elite race! So its David & not Mattew but it was still impressive how many places you made up & you were mentioned on Sporza. How's the Flemish? Learning the language will go a long way to help further your career. All the best for Team Trinity.
Great video. Great to see Tom and AMP on camera. Love watching you young guns smashing it on the world stage. What do the Dutch/Belgian riders make of you lot? Send our best to Tom, he’s had a year of highs and lows and being banged up. Can’t wait to see him in proper full flight! Go Cameron, AMP and Pidders!
Thanks you for the kind words 🙌 I think we have respect from the Belgians. Our team is quite different but I believe we bring good things to the sport!
Hi Cameron, This was an incredible video! It helps me a lot as an amateur - what should I check at coure practice, how often should I eat, etc. Your narrative on the race is exciting! Keep this kind of video coming! Ohh, ohh! The next "behind the scenes" should be about your mechanics! Befor, during and after the race.
Super video! I don’t think I have ever sen anyone dismount or mount on their non preferred side, so pretty impressed when I saw you do it! Getting stronger Cameron 👍
Another excellent video. Maybe an item for a future video could be an interview with one of your mechanics explaining preparation, cleaning and wear on the drive chain
Yes, was talking with them today. I told them that people would be really interested in what a pro CX mechanic does. So I will try and get onto that soon
The best part of the video is Sand, EEEEEEAAAAATTT! and funy the moment, when you been all in the mud xD You do a lot for us and for yourself :D Good Cameron :)
A great efforts with the race & the video. How many bikes at the races do you have this year 2 or 3? And doesn't one of your bikes have a chain guide on the chainset?
out of curiousity (and softness) have you considered shoe covers for muddy races ? was considering the velotoze ones . the whole race not the warm up ...
I spent half of each lap on in my last race unable to clip back in, fine until I was really working the bike and pulling my feet out. Other than kicking my chainstays (the bike is only 2 races old and a still like it too much), how would you guys suggest clearing the cleats? I've heard of Pros, cutting parts of the tread of their soles off so it's a little more open but this seems a little extreme. Top work Cam, enjoying your progress at the top level. Keep it going!
Ah that's a bummer. Yeah, not being able to get your feet in is very frustrating. I usually just kick on my pedals to clear them. Yes, I have heard of people cutting away at the shoes so that might be something to try
@@cameronmason what type of cleats do you use? On my last race here in canada, it was snowy and -3 ish, turning any mud into frozen mud into the cleats and only athletes on eggbeater could clip. I was unlucky with my spd.
@@dan-vw4ve training in the race season is quite different to in the off season. In the summer we train a lot more volume. In between the races it is more about quality efforts and speed
