I think there is just one thing you don't seem to be getting, when people say that the guy is the "wife" they mostly mean in in a comedic sense, either because in their headcannon they are the "princess" of the couple, so the roles are reveresed, or just because they find it funny.
I for one would say that if you take the ship Firefly x Trailblazer (yes no matter who between Caelus and Stelle), it is funny to say that FF is the "husband" because of SAM and the cool factor.

Is she a girlfriend or not? I only came for the title but that reaction was to be expected being Twitter, although it doesn't concern me since I stopped playing Star Rail 2 months ago since I only have enough time for Honkai Impact and some faster games in terms of time.
