Thank you so much for making this video. This really helps out and it's a great guide to send to people I who I know might get overwhelm or confused while trying to catch a connecting flight.
Yes, interesting that the transfer time allowance from international to domestic is 70 minutes. I researched a flight from Australia to Calgary and the time between flight is only 90 minutes; both Air Canada so I guess they would know if they had passengers coming that could possibly be delayed.
Outstanding video, thanks for sharing. It provides an excellent overview of the connections process at YVR. We have connected from outside Canada to domestic flights at YVR and the process is so much smoother than it used to be. Not having to reclear security when coming from the USA/UK/Switzerland/EU on Air Canada is a huge time-saver.
Nice video! I will arrive at YVR with Japan Airlines and then fly to YLW with WestJet, so I should head down the escalator at 9:28, right? Do you have any videos for domestic departures too? Thank you so much! 😁
What about if you need to pick up your luggage and recheck it into your next flight? Im arriving on Air Canada, operated by united and they dont do auto transfer of luggage
Nice Video and very helpful! I will be flying into YVR from Las Vegas, my final destination is Montreal, but my layover is almost 7 hours at Vancouver. I would like to exit the airport and venture into the city. Flying with Air Canada so my luggage will be checked to Montreal. How do i manage Immigration at YVR with this itinerary?, thanks!
Hello, how are you? Please I have a transit trip. AIRPORT UNDER TEREZA TIRAN-- ZURICH AIRPORT THE STOP IS ONLY 60 MINUTES& ZURICH ZIROPORT-- TO VANCOUVER AIRPORT..PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ME WHILE MISSING THE PLANE PLEASE?
You only have 60 minutes to transfer at ZRH? That should be fine especially TIA is also non-Schengen so therefore you most likely will not need to go through passport control in ZRH. That will make the transit even easier in ZRH.

Well, obviously, you will have to pass Immigration to access the baggage pickup area, then proceed back to Departure gates.
Did you already travel. Im going in two weeks & Im traveling on United as well. Any info on the process?

You would go through the arrivals lane, as if Vancouver would be your final destination.
What’s the difference between transborder and international?
Transborder is flights departing to the US only
