Great review 👍 I 100% agree with you about your thoughts of the good and bad about this plasma. I do like having a reg/ gauge on the front, Yeswelder seems to not protect the hoses at the machine’s connections very well, but with just a few changes and it would improve a lot. For the price and compactness it’s a good machine. Sometimes I set the amps to full power and just increase the cut speed like you did, but a lot of times I tend to back the amps down a bit and adjust speeds to match. Say maybe 50Amps for the 3/8” plate, this will definitely increase you cutting time without have an issue with the duty cycle. All and all it’s hard to beat the cut quality and consumables cost for the total overall cost of this machine 👍 Thanks for the review!
Yeah it seems to be a pretty good machine sofar, time will tell. I do plan to cut the amps back for sure when im cutting bigger or thinner more complicated parts because re- running the program with the torch off then turning it on to cut the stuff it missed because of over heat sux..lol I have alot more playing with it and writing down "feeds and speeds" so there is less guess work down the road. I never had to worry about hitting the duty cycle with my miller so it was always max and just adjust my speed..lol Thanks for watching and commenting man!
Glad you did this video! I have 22 years in the trades in custom high-end builds and I get stuck doing alot of the mock ups for the design team while waiting for the subs. I grabbed the MiG 250 pro and it’s great for what I’m doing, this Plasma will be added to the collection this weekend. I can say with all honesty that without the videos you guys post doing end to end reviews, I’d end up with an over priced (for what I’m doing) or under performing equipment.
Did you see the new version on Amazon? I just bought one and then this new one shows up. Should I send it back? Didn’t even unbox it yet. Looks like it has nicer readouts and controls. Also the regulator is built in.
I just got an e-mail from them notifying me of the new one, they said they will get me a code for 10% off to update my link in the description. I dont see the new version on amazon.ca must be .com only sofar or directly from their web site. I cant tell you what to do but I would definitely want the newer version, wish they would have sent me that new version to review. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I just went to amazon.com and checked it out, the display looks great, the regulator is still on the back with a hose that looks like you still have to attach which is a bummer, but the psi read out is up front...nice!
i bought a yeswelder 65ds 2 months ago i just got the archdroid to cut parts i wish i saw your video several weeks ago. i took the yes welder apart and spliced in a connector for the archdroid in the back of the cut 65 to run the torch my thought was i could use the torch and not have to plug and unplug connectors if i wanted to hand cut and not turn on the archdroid. now before i turn all this on do you think i can leave both the torch and archdroid plugged in while using the archdroid . and was it critical for the wire in connectors to be pinned correctly .just wanted to be sure before i fired up both machines and burn something up. i believe i wired it correctly.. thanks for the video
Thats a good question whether leaving both plugged in and hand firing would cause trouble. I don't honestly know, but i can't really see it being a problem. The two wires have no positive or negative they just complete the circut the way i understand it. Even when i wired my old miller there were just 2 identical purple wires i tapped into. The miller help line tech told me it just completes the circut. Hope that helps.
There is no positive or negative. So doesnt matter how you wire it. Basically when you pull the trigger it just completes the circut. Same thing with the cnc, it will complete the circut between the two wires and fire the torch.
@oldcountry220 thanks! Well i need to see if it is gonna do what i want it too. It does seem pretty good sofar, i'll put it to the test next weekend when i start building accessories for my mini excavator. Hopefully the 60% duty cycle isnt gonna be a problem. Id say it ran for around 6 min at 65 amp before it cut out. I kinda wasnt expecting it or i woulda been timing it..lol Keep watching because im gonna keep testing this thing. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I just run it at 60 psi all the time unless i have to cut a bunch of parts from thinner material like 3/16 then i set the machine up like its supposed to be so i dont hit the high temp/duty cycle. Thanks for watching.
Awesome, glad the review was helpful for you. Im still impressed with it even though the line/hose going to the torch feels pretty light duty. I just got a different plasma in to review, though its not compatable with cnc. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@FabbinAdventures I can confirm the little hoses for the torch are sturdier than they look. While cutting last night I was outside of my shop and the plasma unit was behind me on the ground. I was cutting a 5" c-channel when it slid off the stand and landed DIRECTLY on the torch output on the front of the unit. I broke the plastic cover on the nut, bent the panel where the hookup is, and smashed the crimp for the plastic line. It still works flawlessly. Im a little upset I was so careless with the material but this unit took quite the hit and still cranks!
@jamesguzmanii9812 wow, thats awesome that it stood up to that, they sure dont "seem" very tough, but thats good info to know! Thanks for watching and commenting!
As another one mentioned licensee, I need a video on this product like to know or see your compressor. I’ve had mine for two months now I have not had any time to use it yet. Never used one before. Thank you for all your information and contact.😎😜🇨🇦🤟🧐👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Not sure what you mean by licensee, my compressor is just a 5 hp upright 80 gallon tank. If you plan on constant cutting you need a compressor that will keep up, the less they run, the cooler they stay and the less condensation you are likely to introduce into the system.
Not sure what you mean by pencil torch, but if you mean a machine torch, if you can find one, it would use it. I found a guy on ebay that makes a housing to convert the torch the cut 65 come with to a machine torch. I have it, but havent installed it yet.
@@FabbinAdventures In fact pencil torch is the same as machine torch, another question, do you have any diagram that help me to connect a machine torch to CUT 65DS. You have really informative channel, congratulations and thank you for your information

Check out my review on their latest welder that is about to come out.
Its good to see a new video. Thanks for the insight for the cut-65
Thanks! Hopefully it wasnt too long and "draggy" of a video. I cut a bunch out to try and condense it more.

Nice video Ron, i have a Cut 50 that works well. Thanks.
Thats good to hear! Its pretty hard to believe that these little plasma cutters can cut this well and this thick!

Let bed your review! I am trying to figure out which way to wire up the CNC plug. Do you know which pin needs to be positive?
There is no positive or negative. So doesnt matter how you wire it. Basically when you pull the trigger it just completes the circut. Same thing with the cnc, it will complete the circut between the two wires and fire the torch.
Thank you for the help!
@clemsontiger1615ab no problemo!
Great video. Just purchased a arc droid. Did you use the trace function to design your part or fusion 360?
I dont know how to use fusion, so ive only used the trace function.

Ive been looking for a cutter. Thanks for the video ;)
Seems to work pretty good, used it by hand today, i'll be making a bucket for my excavator tomorrow, so new video coming up.
What CFM do you run? What worked best?
I just run it at 60 psi all the time unless i have to cut a bunch of parts from thinner material like 3/16 then i set the machine up like its supposed to be so i dont hit the high temp/duty cycle.
Thanks for watching.
Ty for the tip!
@Gryffie1 no prob
What pressure you cut on for cutting 1/4 plate
Probably around 70psi, i never change the pressure, i just typically change the cut speed.
Thanks for the review, I just bought one due to this review. Sadly the linked one is no longer available so I popped for the newer one.

Forgot to mention 5" wide, about 1/4" thick, 8' long. Heavy piece.

nice presentation..Are you using a welders helmet?
I do when i weld, but i just have a set of dark cutting glasses for plasma cutting.
At 45 amps it’s got a 100% duty cycle at 65 A. It’ll cut for six minutes before it goes to overload.
Yep thats about what it does.

What brand is your cnc machine
It is called an "Arcdroid" pretty handy machine, though not without its limitations and quirks..lol

Watch out for Hynade, their customer service is non-existent. Yes welders customer service is top tier from what I’ve experienced.
Yeah it would seem that yes welder is the real deal, they are "on it" when you have questions.

what is the maximum pressure to run it?
specifically for 3/8" and thicker?
Thats a good question, i'll look into it, i was running 70psi
