Niiice. I love your truck. 239cid flathead model 8BA, the last model of Ford V8 flathead, 100hp bone stock, but with performance heads and intake manifold and a cam you could get 225hp. Very nice indeed. I had a '50 when I was in High School in the 70's. Brings back memories.
I believe I have a Google pic of this truck saved on my phone. I plan on doing a build of it using one of my AMT 53 F100's and it will be flathead powered. SWEET TRUCK, Brutha!
Hey thanks..There is another being built now, a 56 Merc with a 292 Y Block..But I like the older Cab better myself..so.. the Tires are 255 70 R15 Front and 285 70 R15 on the Rear
Truck looks awesome and sounds like a beast. I love the wheels and tires. What size they are? I have 53 f100 too and I’m thinking about out the same wheels and tires
200 hp I think maybe 250-300.. Let me correct you, maybe 150 at best probably more like 90 hp. These motors have very low compression, poor intake and exhaust flow.Didn't come with a oil filter had a screen in the pan at the bottom of the pump.Over heated very easy.
@@MywayRodsandRestoration Only until the y-block was made. Then the FE block .The cammer was way before it's time. The windsor 302 and 351 are the most produce up until 1996.The flathead is a hot rodder nightmare. Not practical and way to much money. If you ever put the valve assembly in this motor you probably scrap the thing.
@@stevecooper8121 I think your right but doesn't change fact...flathead were widely used and hotrodded ! and are still used and sought after?? what else?

Truck looks awesome and sounds like a beast.
I love the wheels and tires. What size they are?
I have 53 f100 too and I’m thinking about out the same wheels and tires
The fuel tank is tucked away nicely. What tank is it?

Only that they literally call it a 3/4 race cam.. for the flathead
2:24 239 C I D 3.9 litre V 8.
Do you know the size wheels and offset?
nice truck , i have a 54 with 239, but Y-block , i like this kind of body, not 56 model cabin, what tire size and wheel do you have??
hmmm..gone to look🤓 front P255 70r15 rear P285 70r15..front on 15 x7 and rear on 15 x 8
I am working on getting that cam info, it is an isky cam
Wrong music for this ride. I think 50's style rockabilly would go great with this truck
I agree, the music sounds like disco, controversial, even during it's heyday. Period music would be more fitting.
agreed..maybe I can fix?
The music aside it's a beautiful truck, first one I've seen of that vintage. Great job !
200 hp I think maybe 250-300..

yeah..but they were the hotrodders choice!
The engine is obviously not stock!@

Sounds like 70's porn music
sorry..lol..I didn't watch any point in the 70s..lol😆😆 ..If I knew how to change it I would..I'm a bit challenged with this stuff..hehe
@@MywayRodsandRestoration The truck is great, you did everything right
Cor horrível
