I’m a Patreon member and I get your painted cards in the mail. They are my most treasured art gift I get regularly. I have decorated my office with so many cards, it’s a gallery of your artwork. Surrounding myself with your art makes my tiny office cubicle a beautiful and inspiring space. Thank you!!
Sarah, just wanted to let you know how much your videos are appreciated. The work you do to create them is definitely a work of art. Thank you for the time you put into the filming and editing….just beautifully done. The result is such a peaceful look into a wee bit of your world!
I’ve never been around those rocks on the seashore before except once in Ireland in, I believe, Houth. I grew up on the gulf coast in Florida (and Georgia) and and when I was walking Houth, and I heard those rocks for the first time…let’s just say I feel it now, listening to your video at the end. Such a deep deep deep sense of calm and rest, like I could sleep for days just listening, all of the chaos and unsettling and noise of the world just falling away somewhere far off. I so love the sound of the waves on the white sands of the Gulf, but I absolutely adore the sound of your sea leaving the beach and dragging those smooth pebbles across each other like they do. How blessed you are in proximity! Hope your trip was everything you hoped it would be and that Skye was wonderful after! God bless ya!
I couldn't help but notice that your stack of out going postcards to Patrons keeps growing over the years. Well done! I hope you have a great trip, and find some time to rest. We'll still be here when you get back.😊
You are such a great person & artist & teacher! ENJOY all that you do - share what you can when you can! What you give us on utube is much appreciated - thank you 🙏 ❤
That was lovely Sarah, so calm and peaceful.... Loved the sketch too, I didn't even know there were coloured leads available for mechanical pencils! Have a great trip!
Adore you Sarah for putting out such beauty and positive energy into the world. Care for yourself and those whom you love. We will be appreciative whenever your schedule allows for a post on this channel. 🫶🏻
Lovely to see you, Sarah. I sm still recovering on bed from major surgery, and can't paint. It was a beautiful thing to go sightseeing in Scotland with you. Enjoy your time with friends and family.
Sarah your channel is wonderful! You have such a cute personality and you are a FABULOUS artist. I’m 75 years old and have been an artist all my life…..you really have inspired me to work in my watercolor journals. I live in Ohio, but I’m from Big Sur, California. Enjoy every moment of your vacation!❤
I am repeating a common theme captured in the comments. Your videos are much appreciated and cherished, but there is a time to recharge and reset that everyone deserves. Enjoy your trip and time with family. Do not feel rushed or pressured to record unless it gives you pleasure in the moment and is what you truly want to do. You have earned this time away. We will all be looking forward to whenever you feel ready to post again. Safe travels!
Less is more. But we hope you have more fun than ever imagined on your trip. Thanks for the vlog. Scotland is a place that we won’t ever see except on line. All the best.
I just love all your videos…they are so beautifully done and I feel relaxed watching them. I haven’t been to the sea in 6 years and miss it terribly so I really appreciated how you ended the video ❤ I hope you are enjoying your trip away it sounds like it will be busy but a lot of fun!
Sarah, thank you for this. I needed a glimpse of the open spaces, the gardens and the trees, and especially, very special, the ending by the coast. Having lived an hour away from the sea, and a short walk to open countryside for 35 years, I haven't seen either for the last eight, so although the inland landscape is very different from the Lincolnshire Fenland and Wolds, it's still a 'green and pleasant land', and I love the hills and heather, the sheep and the cows, the birds and butterflies.... The vast open space of the sea, and the sound it makes, with you on an empty shore, looking at shells and pebbles... And those precious glimpses of your cats. Thank you. I hope you have a safe journey, and a wonderful experience back in your home country. Whatever you may film, let the focus be on what _you_ want, what _you_ love, and please, don't feel pressured to post while you are away. Just focus on why you are there, and what _you_ will enjoy. I'm glad that you have Wolfie with you for at least some of the time, that you will see familiy and friends. I'm glad you will have those meet-ups with the YT community,. Just enjoy, epxerience, relax. You have earned it! 🤗
Hi Sarah, please vote while you are away or apply for an absentee ballot. Enjoy your visit with friends and family, and working. Do what you can, we aren't going anywhere, lol
Thank you for the videos! They are wonderful and inspiring. I can't imagine how much work you put into them, though I know it's a lot. The whole package of your life as an artist in Scotland is uplifting! While I look forward to each video, I would never want you to feel bogged down having to make them. Only do them when they are fun and when you are not overwhelmed with other tasks! Life is short and you have to leave room in each day to play and enjoy all the goodies in life! We," Sarah in Scotland", fans can always watch your videos again. They are so packed full of wonderful things that I find new inspirations when I re-watch them. That being said, you are filming your life's history and one day when you have time to look back, you can watch these videos and see what a beautiful life you've had. Thanks for sharing with us! I hope your trip to the U.S. is a wonderful one! I hope you have lots of good times with family and I hope your workshop exceeds your expectations! Sincerely, Lisa, fan/artist from NC.

Safe travels Sarah! I love the peace all the coastal areas hold around here. My dad and I travel along the east and west coast often and we love to just take deep breaths in and listen to the silence. You captured the beauty of late summer well ❤
You are so fortunate to live in the most beautiful part of the world. Fell in love with Scotland when I visited over 50 years ago. Hope you enjoy your visit with family and friends. I’m in Kingston, WA, up the road from Seattle and my little heaven if I can’t have Scotland. Bon Voyage! Lois
That blueberry pancake w/ expert crispy edges looked so good! I also loved seeing the sweet, snuggling kitties and getting to experience the beauty of coastal peace. Wishing you safe travels 💗
Oh gosh 😂playing ⛳️ golf in Scotland 🏴 is a must, definitely since it’s where the game originated. The sea fog is such a great peaceful experience & sound. Gorgeous views around the yard & countryside. Maybe 🤔 in New York & Seattle some of the Autumn 🍂 leaves will be changing while you’re stateside. Enjoy your vacation & have fun with Sketches in London! 🥰
Thank you Sarah for such a lovely natural feeling video. It's very time consuming along with the daily life. My daughter has had a couple of heavy workloaded months, and headed off to New Jersey with a pal who was returning home. So a complete switch off for 4wks. I do hope you enjoy your well deserved break. I'm hoping to get to Skye myself, it will be quieter next month. Travel safe lovely lady......Alioban ❤
Sarah, what a beautiful video! I could just feel the serenity. I understand what you mean about the rain. It has been wet here in PA USA. We get the fog after having a lot of rain. Your pancakes and waffles looked delicious. We have the black raspberries and red raspberries here on our property. It is a nice treat. Your vegetable soup is already making me plan cold weather meals. It's great to see Wolfie, Flokie and Akura. I hope I spelled the names right. Do have the time of your lives here in America. Stay safe ❤😊🎉
You look so serene in the beautiful landscape. It’s funny that you said you had the beauty effect on by mistake. Because I was looking at your skin thinking my God her skin is perfect. Even though it looks perfect without the beauty effect on. It was luminescent with it on. Anyway, too bad you’re not doing your little workshop somewhere near Florida. I would have liked to have have gone to it.
Sarah, quick question? Could you please bring the beauty and serenity here to the states. We could so use it. Thank you for a wonderful, beautiful, peaceful video. I got goosebumps a few times with your video. Oh and a few of the instrumental songs you played so reminded me of Snoopy and the Peanuts. Very soothing. Thank you again Sarah. I hope you have a wonderful trip.
The paint that you poured, will that be going on the plane with you like when you're seated? I was wondering because I would like to bring some gouache on the plane but I don't want them to take it because it's in liquid form. I was thinking that maybe I can do what you did , pour it and then wait for it to solidify.
The trick wth learning to paint anything is to ignore what others do, and simply paint what you see. Break it down into small segments, look for the shapes within the subject, and just draw and paint what you see. Remember, if drawing trees close to you, that the branches and twigs grow out from the trunk, usually at an angle. So _look carefully and draw what you see._ Start drawing them _out from_ the trunk to branch, _from_ branch to twig. No-one can tell you how to mix the greens, and blues, because no one scene is the same as another. What works for Sarah, in Scotland, won't necessarily work anywhere else. What worked for me in Lincolnshore doesn't work here in SW France. I've had to experiment. Why? Because light changes the way we perceive the colour,. So take a piece of watercolour paper with you (the same as that you'll be doing yout painting on_, and experiment for yourself. Make sure you do as Sarah does, as I do, and note the names of the colours you use. That's the way we learn. Make sure you have cool and warm reds, yellows and blues, and you won't need much else. That's how you will learn, and how it will stay in your memory. With a landscape, remember that the further away the thing is, the smaller things become, the less detail you can see, and atmospheric perspective means the colours will change. I won't tell you how, because it all depends on the weather, and the light. Just go out and look around. Absorb the atmosphere, and then paint what suits _you,_ in the way that _you_ see it. Hope this helps? I learned, not all at once, but over time, by doing just this ^^^. 😊 [edited for typing errors - hope I found them all!!! 🤔]
