Im just in shock how rust free your trucks are. I live in Illinois and i would wash my 7.3 every weekend and still managed to rust the bed out and the rocker panels
The good 7.3 and white 6.7 are both born and raised in North Carolina. Very clean trucks for sure. The white 7.3 is a Washington state truck so idk about its story. But it’s still pretty clean.
@@nathanalexander6289 😂😂dude about half of the US states use salt, there’s nothing special about using salt, wanna experience real rust?? Go to Wisconsin or another northern state that uses chemicals and salt for the roads, you be very surprise about the results 😂

@@akassault7515 well 7.3’s I’m not as picky about it. I do fuel filters. (As remembered) and try to change oil between 5-10k. I’ve went 20k+ on oil. I know it’s not right. 6.7. I change oil regular between 5-10k and fuel filters every other oil change. I pull the trucks into the shop to do it. Gravel floor.
My DD ‘97 powerstroke I’ve owned for twenty years and 310k. It has 400k total. It has been in the single digits here for weeks and the old girl fires up without being plugged in. Best machine I’ve ever owned.
Nice trucks, man! All of them! I would take all the batteries that you’re going to disconnect inside so they don’t freeze. I know they shouldn’t freeze if they don’t lose charge, but when it gets crazy cold, they could get ruined! That gold truck is awesome! I have an early 99 F350 7.3 with a 6 speed! 330,000 miles! When that thing needs charged to start when it’s cold and dead, put a charger or jumper cable on both batteries and let it sit for awhile. I just dealt with that on mine. Don’t crank so much on a low battery, it’s not good for the starter or the motor. The way that white 7.3 fired up was awesome! Just like they should! Keep up the good work!
I don’t know why that was funny but seeing you try too back it up and the drive shaft just is sitting there spinning on the ground lol enjoyed the video btw
Got an 2001 ford f2shity 7.tree Michigan truck all original over 700 thousand miles. Works construction and plowed every winter of its life...13 letter shitspreader INTERNATIONAL best diesel ever made. Still stroking and purrs like a kitten...
When I jump mine i turn the headlights on and wiggle the cables until i get a good connection. No need to rev the donor truck. If you get a good connection it will crank
My 99 F350 srw ccsb doesn't like to sit for more than a day when it is below freezing. I need to replace the battery cables this spring, pretty sure that is my biggest issue. One of these days i will replace the out dated edge tuner with a hydra.
Been an amazing truck. I don’t think I’ve ever changed the oil in it. I’ve had it almost 5 years. Truck works hard and never fails. Besides the rear axle flying out once. Other than that. Been a great truck
My 97 7.3 with 318000 will start first hit on key in the Michigan cold no block heat but I'm not driving in winter anymore as I have a gmc 1500 also. My 7.3 I have ford's high idle. the apcm module for a wrecker or such. I can go 1300 to 2500 rpms or maintain voltage for stationary winching etc
I was cold starting my very similar looking black and gold 297k 03 7.3 in -2 blizzard conditions a few weeks back. The temp cycling everyday made the famous pan leak at the dip stick adaptor. The trucks very first leak! A new o-ring and some weasel sauce, and it's good for another couple decades. Self activated rust prevention! 🤣 Now I'm starting to get nervous about the old oil cooler. We've been only getting to the low teens at night where it's parked at my house, but at work I was at the top of the la sal mountains here near Moab Utah. It's been down to -10 up there.. Brrrrr.. Fresh ZD-11's, a stancore relay, new batteries and a high torque starter gets it done nicely. I had zero problems doing 12 hr overnights and she starts right up like a new truck! In these winter months it helps a lot to go to 5w40 T6. Your gold one wasn't fueling for a good while. That's why it took so long to start. No smoke equals no fuel. Change the oil, I bet that alone helps a good bit. She mad at 29, it would be a dead duck up these mountains up here. Stay warm out there brother, Merry Christmas!
Had a 2018 f350 loaded platinum and sold it cuz missed the 7.3's!! Hated dealing with the def and the mpg was only 2 mpg better!! Just silly to buy a newer truck if you can find a rust free low mileage 7.3!! Found a loaded excursion in excellent condition with 160k and a f250 with 230k lariat rust free! Interior on both rigs are almost mint as well!!!! Added a hydra to the f250 and the edge tuner/ monitor the the excursion and makes them bit fun to drive!!😃😃😃 They will be the last trucks I will own!!
If you couldn’t afford the 6.7 just say that 😂😂😂 just kidding the 7.3s are the best I use one for my plow truck But I have a 2014 king ranch I keep for my personal truck to do estimates and towing my bobcat around since I own a small concrete business
Last year I did a cold start on my 7.3 with a temp of -20°, and my glow plugs are going bad gotta replace them soon, but yea these trucks will start and very low temperatures if you start it every so often

Third -- Cycle the trucks before starting at least 3 x’s Your dads letting you stay in his cabin and drive his trucks at least you could take care of them
Kinda poor technique trying to jump a dead truck in low temps. Run a charger out to the truck. Charge them fully and then execute. Stopped watching so I don't know how it ended.
