    Excellent tutorial! I'm impressed with the range of features included in this software. As a cinematographer, this will be a great tool for revisualization of lighting setups to share with clients and lighting department.
    UPDATE: After exploring this software, I sent a few questions to the developers who got back to me very quickly. They answered all my questions, which convinced me to purchase the studio version. It is very easy (and fun) to use and sharing lighting setups will save time on set. I only needed one day of the fifteen day trial period to decide this was a good investment.

      Good to see a filmmaker’s perspective on this. Do you find the lamp library extensive enough? I noticed that the latest update includes the Aputure 1200D but I’ve been using the XT26 for a while now. Do they have the Nanlux Evokes?

    It would have helped if you had used the English language version of the software in this video. Would've helped understand the menus better, given that the audio is in English.

      Yes, the video was once recorded in our main language "German" and then translated, which was within our capabilities. You can simply change the language in set.a.light 3D under the "settings" menu in the menu bar. For further information please have a look at our User Manual.

    is it possible to add little kids/babies as models? Forgot to add, this software is amazing!

      We already have it on the roadmap, but unfortunately it will take some time. You can change the size of the models, I know that only helps a little bit. I'm really happy that you like the software :)

    Is it possible to use a speedlight and add a standard reflector to it? Or can you only choose the modifiers in the speedlight section?

    • @Elixxier
      @Elixxier  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, unfortunately that is not possible at the moment. We are already working on new light shapers for the speedlights. But it will still take some time.

      @Elixxier  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, there will not be an iPad version for the time being. Maybe in the future.

      I’ve just discovered this very interesting software and it’s been 4 years since this comment. Please tell me your close to making a version for the iPad Pro 🙏🏻

    This video is extremely poorly done. It throws way too much information at the viewer which he'll never remember after the video is finished. If I were giving out grades I would give it an F-minus.
    The Set a Light developers have devoted way too much energy to posing characters and minute details, rather than making the program functional with a simpler and more functional user interface. When I'm lighting a subject, being able to manipulate each individual finger is superfluous.
    Ads should be disabled on this TH-cam video.

      Maybe you can just create a tutorial of your own instead of complaining

    Why I must use only 3d characters! Please be smarter...add auto 3d face to character function after it boom!!!!

      There are many more features and content planned for set.a.light 3D, that we're going to build in little by little.
