I know, the silence in the audience was for dramatic purpose, but c'mon! In real life the crowd would have never been that dead silent, they would have cheered and shown their support for the two people who almost got killed on stage, yet still finished the song.
They did exactly what you’re supposed to do when things go wrong in a show - pick yourself back up and continue with your performance. If you’re lucky, no one will know that wasn’t how it was supposed to go. That’s what won them the votes - respect they continued even when things when horrifically wrong.
i was in a lot of music in my schooling and my talented music teacher always taught me that the most important note to hit in your performance is the last one.
There was once an alto I think, at the Met. She was wearing a sort of metal suit of armour Greek/Roman style. As she began singing she tripped and sled the whole lenght of the stage on the armour. She did not miss a single note. Most impressive.
This was meant to be a "bad/good" movie I think. It turned into something really special. A real gem. Amazing cast, characters and songs, great story and development. I love Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams together. And great for Rachel that she got to show off how good of an actrice she is. It just works en they are very believable. It came out at a time we really needed it. And I love movies for which I expect not much and then get pleasantly surprised.
This movie is feel good, and turned out to become a comedy/feel good movie for the ages, for all ages, it should be the go to movie for anyone having a bad day, this’ll cheer you right up 😊
@@kieranwoodward3326 I think they meant as in the host of the entire worldwide final broadcast. DragonPhlegm probably isn't from the UK so they have a different commentator than Graham for their local broadcasts each year. I also had to double-take that at first tho :D
It is the best feel good movie of the last years. I can´t belive that I missed it three years ago and got notice of it just a few days ago. I am in love with this movie.
As a Eurovision fan the movie became a safety place to keep living after the cancelation of the actual Contest, in 2020 due to the evil virus. I think many of us cried and laughed watching this.
I thought this film would be tragically bad.... I watched it.... Put it back on and watched it again! Its fantastic! Its honestly Eurovision 100% ... 10 points from the uk!
They still wouldn't have won. Because actually decent songs rarely wins in eurovision. Weird songs win. Euphoria is maybe the only decent song that have ever won
@@steven.parkss Did you see the movie? They only lost because the main character wanted her to sing Húsavík, instead of Double Trouble, getting them disqualafied.
Any realize that the spinning weals with sparklers in the back are performed by stuntors? They walk on at 2:59 and spin at 3:05. I thought they were remote controlled. Just realized, while replaying for an hour hahah
Outside of the comedy, Will Ferrell is married to a Swedish woman and Rachel Mcadams was going out with Michael Sheen for years so they both love Eurovision.
That's why what could have been a silly movie is actually very touching and respectful to the completion with great music as well. I just pretend this is the real 2020 completion and that Lion of Love was the winner that year.
Missed the best part.. The reaction from the audience.. Complete silence except for the one guy laughing hysterically in the background!! And Graham Norton made this movie better than it had any reason to be lol
If I were in the room while they were putting on their costumes I would’ve immediately stopped them to cut the scarf for Sigrid because I had a feeling that this was going to happen
My favorite love song of all time. Even better with Will Farrell and Rachel McAdams...! ✨💃🕺🔥🔥🔥🏔️🌌✨ 🔥FIRE SAGA 🔥✨ "YA YA DING DONG" song ( very funny ). Perfect for Will Farrell in the Eurovision Fire Saga movie.
This movie is such an underrated gem.
100% agree
Как, называется фильм.
Просто несмотрел.
@@ЮраНемцев-ж8ч Eurovision story of Fire saga
a masterpiece !
No joke, this song would win Eurovision 8 out of 10 years.
Yes, but Husavik would win it twice.
Ja ja ding dong 18 years 🤣😂
I thin too, this Song can Win for the net Eurovision Song Contest. Its so Fantastic Song🎉
But not with Will singing. He is a great comedy actor, but really not a good singer! :D
It wouldn't. Sorry.

Your here after watching Finland Cha Cha Cha aren't you :P
I mean that's exactly what happened... they were cheered after a couple of seconds of awe.
Was just gonna come on and say this. The entire hall would erupt in applause.
@@Bayard1503didn’t they start to laugh?
Moreover, the spectacular perormance plus the scandal surrounding it would make ir the bookmakers' favorite for the final.

Well said!
They won the votes because it was written that way.

A very wordy way of the saying: The show must go on
Those 3 “The scarf” lines with different tones just gets me everytime 😂
Graham norton should be in more movies 😂😂😂 the delivery
"oh the scarf"😂😂😂
"We're hearing voices, so they're not dead." 😂
it cracks me up how they nailed PERFECTLY the cheesy staging and camerawork you can get in a real ESC performance.
It was actually filmed on the stage used at the 2019 Contest
The scarf and crashing could be a legitimate Eurovision performance

Maybe but it turned out to actually be good
I love how the guys with the sparkling wheels just go in like nothing wrong happened & just start spinning. “Just doin my job here” lol
On eurovision you can expect everything lol
In reality, the crowd would cheer like mad right at the end of the song. :D
Exactly!

I love how Graham Norton played the host in this movie and then three years later he’s hosting it for real
He's always been Eurovision host for years before the movie what you on about?

Eurovision is best thing ever made
my aunt literally watches this movie everynight, I have heard this song 100s of times and never actually saw what was happening
"The elves might hate us!" LOL
This would be a bop in Real eurovision
Exactly!
This movie is sooooooo good.

its good to see will ferell again in cinema
Maybe it's just me but I love this song best scene ever and when the judges are bopping I love itt
12 points from the U.S.!
I would've liked to see how well they would've done if they hadn't screwed up, like if they would've won or not.
You understand this is a scene from a movie, right?
@@thomashillebrandt8945 yeah, I know. Just saying if they didn't have that little mishap with the wheel if they would have won

My 12 points go to Iceland. Fire Saga is by far my favorite act out of all the genuine Eurovision contests.
PLAY JAJA DINGDONG!!!
No joke i ACTUALLY love this song!
Will ferrel is at his best making movies about "stuff you watch on tv". The news, sports, eurovision.
The song is sooo catchy
WIll Pharrel sounds like when you sing in the shower and you think youre killing it
A true winner. Bet it would win in real life.😂😂😂
Prepare for trouble and make it double
I love this movie !
it reminds me of spirit in the sky!!
Same and Monsters (Finland 2018)
when Americans can't get into Eurovision they use a back door 🤣🤣🤣
Well, this is only one American. Rachel McAdams is Canadian.
Watching 2024 Eurovision 🇬🇧 and just want to vote for double trouble ❤

Heard Katy Perry's Nirvana and immediately thought of this masterpiece! 😂
OMG this is Katy Perry's new song Nirvana!
I still can't believe they filmed this at the actual contest for Eurovision 2019-

Superb performance 👏👏👏😭
”… the elfs might hate us…” 😂
Katy Perry brought me here!!!
still better than the last 2 (2022/23) winner songs.
Not really, Tattoo is better. But "double trouble" is surely better than ALL the other ESC 2023 songs. ;)
Cha cha cha cha cha cha cha
Here for the song.
This song is catchy asf
My 11 year old laughed so hard we hard to force her into breathing

They have one on the soundtrack!
Cool movie! And the soundtrack is awesome!
With love from Russia! 🇷🇺
This my favorite movie .. deserve a second part
Who knew Rachel can SING?😃
Its not her voice, its actually Molly Sandén(Swedish singer)‘s voice
This movie really need a sequel....
Exactly!
I wish they would've also shown Alexander Lemtov's reaction to this. I'm curious what it was.
oh i didn't know it was filmed on the esc stage from 2019 in tel aviv
"Should have sung Ja Ja Ding Dong."
Creo que me enamoré de Sigrit
YAYA DING DONG!!!
