Hi, I have a question about my toe stops. I have been roller skating since february of 2022 and since october of 2022 I’ve been taking jam / dance skating lessons and skated without my toe stops. I would put them back on when I was going outside around the city, so I’m still used to them. Now I want to get more into artistic roller skating. There aren’t any artistic roller skating lessons around me so I have been teaching myself through youtube video’s. I have been landing my waltz jump more often then not! So I’m still a beginner in jumps and such. But just in general, what would you recomand the height of my toe stops to be? I have moxi lolly skates and right now I can fit 4 fingers under my back wheels when my toe stops hit the ground. Would you recomand me to put them lower or just keep them like this? Thank you for all your video’s, they really helped me over the years and I always recomanded your chanel to everyone around me and will keep doing so!
Normal recommendation would be to adjust by about half a finger width and try some toe stop drills that you are really comfortable with. And remember to be patient so that your body has time to get used to the options that are available at the new height. Then it is just a question of figuring out what works best for your particular set of skills/tricks that you do. Hope this helps you progress
