Dungeons and Dragons
I love the dragon madness alert because it's a total ripoff. As long as you don't know that you're money came from a dragon's hoard, then you won't be affected by dragon madness. So getting the alert would actually do more harm than good. Typical bankers
And they’re still pulling this shit even after their executives were defeated in combat and had a leadership replacement. Just like the banks went right back to what they were doing after the 2008 financial crisis.
OH YEAH i forgot about that tidbit
I thought I must have been remembering wrong, I'm glad someone pointed this out lol
I love it
Oh those poor tinkerer’s back in Sylvaire.
There is something viscerally cathartic about the government of solace and the council of chosen enacting financial reform by literally fighting banking executives to the death.
Except that there was really no reform. KVX is still in existence doing all its shady bank business.
@@Belthazor24didn’t you hear the bit about the blue logo? Sounds reformed to me
I also love that they are called “the council of chosen” cause when you think about it that’s just the fantasy version of state representatives
@@Belthazor24 yeah but like the shady executives have had their ruin smote upon the mountainside- I mean, skyscraperside. That counts for something right? And the logo! The logo is blue. Blue isn’t the evil color.
@@mamboonthetube7652Reminds me of Blue Umbrella in RE7 and 8.
I like that they changed the logo from red, the colour of an evil dragon, to blue, which is also the colour of an evil dragon
That totally flew over my head, but now that you mention it I'm sure Brennan took that into consideration. 😂
Hey, that means that there only needs to be TWO (green, black) more world shattering villain events before they have to rebrand to a positive alignment! PROBLEM SOLVED FOREVER.
@@somedude7938 3. There are white dragons too.
Oh my god, I never even considered that before.
Best part is Blue Dragons are so much more likely to own a bank. Or a crime syndicate. They’re all about forming shady groups and lording over them, being bosses of a literal mob family. Nepotism and schemes, that’s the whole deal with blue dragons.
This scene convinced me that Fabian is gonna lose all his money by senior year
It’s one of those things where I know exactly why it wouldn’t work-the people most impacted would literally rather die than impose on a friend in any way-but every time a character is in deep financial straits and then in the next scene it’s all about Fabian being a gazillionaire I’m always like “someone please tell him what’s going on, if he knew he would throw money at his friends INSTANTLY without hesitation”
but of course, knowing what people are like (this applies to me too) when you have bad finances and a well-off friend, hiding your bad finances becomes a pathological urge because you’re terrified of being a leech lol. So I get it and it’s realistic but it makes me sad Fabian is probably gonna blow through all his cash when people who could really use some of it are right there beside him and he’s oblivious to it 😅
All bad kids swear vengeance on fabian then get rid of chungledown bim and any others besides the bad kids, fabian pulls the money all the bad kids put the 20 million gold into one big Bad Kid Account.
pretty sure he's gonna cash out early to help Adaine
@@hosungyoo7601 You're a mad genius.
@@BasilicanBarkBR why?
I love Brennan just blindsiding people with incredibly specific legal and business jargon. Like there's a very specific kind of character he pulls out thats just a perfectly polite bureaucrat who plays politeness judo with the players and just hits them with such a left field kind of character interaction
ngl as a lawyer that shit has me dying laughing every time. I had to pause when he described the department that keeps track of the Nemeses and how the hench people may have a claim bc i literally couldnt see the screen from crying laughing lmao
@@SweetDeath777 i love hearing of people actually in the fields being even more in on the joke than anyone else, its so funny
If I had a dollar for every Dimension 20 campaign where banking was a vital game mechanic, I'd have two dollars.
I feel its 3 because we have Starstruck, fantasy high junior year and then I think a bit with unsleeping city 2
And how much money would your nemesis get?
which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice
If you would like to cash out now, you will receive one of those dollars, and the other will be divided evenly amongst your various nemeses.
@@morguenmorguen6862 Morguen and Morguen seems like a firm that would buy structured settlements
I like that the nemesis getting the money isnt just a way to punish him for taking the sum out early. Its also a trial. If he wants the full amount now he has to defeat his nemesis and take it back.
That... is such a good point that I never considered it. Bill even viewed Fabian taking the Hangman (motorcycle) as "taking what's yours when they don't even know it yet".
Technically Fabian killed bill's nemesis the mind flayer captain, can KVX bank give up the money that captain had
@@hosungyoo7601 (Um actually,) I think the Cpt. Whitlaw is a separate issue because he was killed before the trust fund activated, and the clause specified Fabian's nemesis and not Bill's.
Chungledown Economics
PERFECT. NO NOTES
The fact that Chungledown Bim has a warlock's pact with Fabian's dad makes the situation even worse, because his powers are limited only by his reserves of gold and him having that much money could potentially make him one of the most powerful people who has ever lived.
If Bim was able to operate at a profit using that power (through a combination of compound interest, forcing people to sign up to the MLM under duress, plundering ships, and running a protection racket for any ships who would otherwise be targeted and are aware of how absurdly dangerous he is) he'd be completely unstoppable.
I think he's going to change Patrons, I hear the Goddess of Night and Mysteries is looking for more worshipers.
@@buttonsfan Kind of a hard sell, though
@@buttonsfanmaybe Bill Seacaster becomes Casandra's campaign manager/pr manager and use his warlock pyramid scheme employees to funnel into her church then essentially get a tax right off. I physically don't know what I am saying here or if it makes sense
My thoughts exactly
Brennan and Lou did a thing where they made Chungledown Bim's stats and they said that Bill would have made Chungledown level 20, because having powerful enemies would only make Fabian stronger
I absolutely LOVE that Brennan was *so* into the character of Mr. Hughes that he was entirely going to explain the concept of a long shadow clause in as much depth as he could
As well as explaining how your father being an archdevil may or may not change it
I can imagine Fabian’s stomach and heart just dropping out of his ass the second he hears the name Chungledown Bim. The last time he saw him was when he was laying down on the ground, fully willing to let this pirate shit in his mouth if it meant saving his friends.
Wasn't he in the boys night one-shot? Chasing all the male characters as they drove down the highway at like 90mph? Or was that like non-cannon?
@@_Jakepay_ No I believe that's canon. And it was using the lvl 20 Chungledown Bim build that Lou and Brennan made together in a D20 Foundry video.
@@3ndlessL00p Level 20! Damn that's scary 😨
@@_Jakepay_ Brennan also made Lou roll 10d6 take the highest 3 for each of his stats
@@3ndlessL00p The events that take place during the One-shot are almost all canon including any time discrepancy due to the Time Quangle. But it appears once the time quangle is dealt with many of the dates of events outside of the core FH seasons will be effectively retconned.
I went into this scene going "Knowing Brennan and his burning hatred of Late Capitalism, this is going to be good." As soon as he got to the Nemesis Clause in the conditions of the trust, I was like "There it is!" XD
Honestly this was the best possible way for Brennan to keep him from cashing out the trust. Lou and Brennan made Chungledown Bim to be a terrifying monster with incredible powers specifically tailored to let him shit in Fabian's mouth and then torture him for eternity. There was no way he'd ever risk giving him that much gold.
I have been thinking about the name ChungleDown Bim for about 2 years most days. The fact that wasn’t the first place Lou’s mind went makes me think there’s something wrong with me.
he blocked it out
as @@he.said.teenjiejer said, this kid's trauma based amnesia goes _craaazzy_
Chungledown Bim, short for Bimothy, was the result of an arms race to determine the stupidest sounding name.
He's immediately where my mind went for his nemeses, but I fully blanked on his name.
The name haunts my mind”oh god don’t shit in my mouth”
The nemesis clause is cracking me up, you call up the bank "just letting you know, i fucking hate this guy"
Just so you know: 1 gold in 5e is typically converted to somewhere between $100 and $200 irl. At that conversion rate, 5k gold/month converts to a monthly PASSIVE INCOME of $50-100k. He's making more than many Americans make in a year on a monthly basis through passive income alone! In fact, Fabian's income during only Junior Year could probably send both Adaine and Riz to college!
I can't wait to see how many problems this causes.
He missed zero $5, 000 * 100 is $500,000 a month
So that 20 million is about 2 billion lol @@benvaun1330
I sat here....for 9 uninterrupted minutes...learning about how trust funds and banking works in an alternate reality.
Only Brandon Lee Mulligan could do that
That name strikes fear in both Fabien and Lou.
I love that over the course of the interaction it goes from a phone call to a zoom lol
Brennan is the greatest worldbuilder alive.
Wait, an alert?! So Duggan might still be alive! WHAT'S CHUGGIN, DUGGAN!!
It's within the last 30 days, so probably easily could have been before their untimely death
@@sirshrafle1607right, because hes a vampire
The fact that they have a department that tracks people's enemies is literally the funniest thing in the world to me. I had to pause the episode for a few minutes because I was laughing so hard about that 😂
If multiple nemesis knew that there was potentially 18million for being the sole nemesis couldn’t they start killing each other for that gold?
That's actually a pretty good incentive not to officially declare yourself as a financial nemesis of richer person, but it also is an incentive for powerful people to declare vengeance against multiple middle class people/families since they're more likely to not have many nemeses and more likely to need to cash out due to financial situations.
@@LDIndustries There'd probably be whole scammer groups that gather people's personal information to file fraudulent nemesis claims. The real nemeses can't afford to take the scammers to court and prove that they don't even have a grudge.
Maybe we can get a god to swear vengeance on fabian and have him get rid of or recruit Chungle down bim
@@LDIndustriesI feel like declaring someone you've never met as a nemesis has gotta be some kind of financial fraud
At 5000 gold a month, it will take 333 1/3 years for fabian to receive his full imheritance. I'd be pissed.
he's elven tho
@@The17thColossusHalf elven, still mortal.
With interest, though, he would never run out, even once he hits the milestones to extract more. He’s independently wealthy.
You got to understand though. 20 million gold is like 2.9 billion US. 5,000 gold is $500,000 a month.
My guess is that the Rat Grinders are on the nemesis list, but they swore vengeance after some imagined slight freshman year. He mentioned Chungledown Bim, but the one from Duggan proves that wasn't the whole list. Fabian only asked about "recent" nemesis swearings. Just sayin.
The bits in this episode were great.
such a busy episode !
You think this is a bit? No, no, no. They have been building towards that. Chungledown Bim is still hunting Fabian, Brennan even said, if there will be another Season of Fantasy High, he would need Chungledown Bim statted out.
We even saw him briefly in the Boy's Night oneshot!@@nelevenchts
@@nelevenchts a bit can be a bad guy.
@@slithbackle no. He is a force of nature.
if Fabian cached out now, Chungledown Bim would receive $17,100,000 assuming he is Fabian's only nemesis
EDIT: it turns out he WAS his only nemesis until he dissed honey
Seriously doubt he's the only one
He probably has a group following him that will soon swear allegiance to The Goddess of Night and Mysteries
Hench people also get a share so I'm sure Bim's horde of a thousand Seacaster Slayers would also get a share (this is not canon except in my own mind)
I know alistor technically took down his desire for revenge against fabian, but technically he did swore vengeance after being let down or at least a desire to kill him
Not anymore
Of course it’s still kvx. All the bad guys are coming back
I wouldn't be surprised if Arianwen shows up again riding a skeletal dragon.
my favourite part of this is that Fabian has to live for 333 years before receiving his entire trust of 20 million if he is receiving it at a rate of 5,000 gold piece per month ... very bankcore behaviour
And that's assuming that it isn't garnering any returns from investment
I mean, he is a half-elf so it could happen
Alternatively, if he kills everyone on his nemesis list, he could cash out the remaining balance with only 5% going to the bank. There was also the mention of checkpoints, so its very likely the monthly withdrawal increases as he hits specific milestones in his life.
Nah, there were checkpoints to cash out more, there’s probably one for like 20 years or smthn where he can cash almost all of it out
Honestly I think that the intent is to make sure Fabian ends up with well armed nemesises so that he can have someone ready to kill him gloriously when he grows old.
I just picture Chungle-down taking a dumnp on a golden throne made in the shape of Fabien's mouth
horrifying, thanks!
I got so excited I choked hearing the name “Chungle-Down Bim”
I haven't watched much of Junior Year yet because I've been catching up on other seasons, but something about Brennan's description of Nemesis Alert has stuck out to me for a while.
He says specifically that it tracks everyone on your planet who has sworn vengeance on you. Key word "planet."
This season is already dealing with a lot of stuff involving extraplanar entities and the intricacies of deities. So the specific use of planet makes me wonder if there's going to be someone or something that does not live on the planet with a hidden vendetta against the Bad Kids.
I swear and declare vengeance upon Fabian Arameias Seacaster, son of Bill Seacaster, student of Augefort Academy!
I swear vengeance on Fabian Aramais Seacaster, son of Bill Seacaster captain of the Hangvan and member of the Bad Kids. I also would like a shout out for Chungle Down Bim to assemble to F.I.N.S or Fabian Instigation Named Silencers.
I absolutely love how casually Brennan narrates an epic battle between a bunch of bankers and none of them give a fuck😂
Soooo, Brennan didnt just do finance research, he got FINRA certified just for this bit.
Built diff
"He said he was going to shit in my mouth!" Said Fabian, with an obvious note of terror.
So... 5,000 COULD have just been a random number Brennan wanted to give out, and 20 million COULD have just been a huge number to surprise the players. BUT I love how close the math actually works out. 5,000 a month is 60,000 per year. Half-elves can live up to about 240. If Fabian lives for another 220 years he'll have gotten 13.2 million from the trust. Even assuming there's some feature or clause in the trust that Fabian can get a higher monthly take as he gets older and wiser the 20 million will last him his entire life without much (if any) going to waste.
I thought they live to 180 in 5E.
@@GZilla311 That's the average. They can live up to 240ish.
5000 gold a month. my god.
would take him about 333 years and 4 months to take the maximum amount. assuming he lives the normal amount for half-elves (around 250 years) he would have about 5 million gold left in his trust.
He makes more money than me... and I'm a grown ass man with a mortgage.
@@Jermbot15 generational wealth 🙌

Online and phone bankings scenes are consistently the best part of Dimension 20
5k a month, FOR 333 YEARS.
Easy enough for a half elf
Don't forget interest.
@@catslino5037Half-Elves live 180 years so no.
I started accidentally learning about trust law from watching this
"I'm gonna go to eat a cafeteria lunch" is an all timer line to end a scene
Honestly, this has made me want to watch Fantasy High more than ever before.
One day while I have a bunch of free time, I WILL get DropOut!
I hope we finally have a full party fight against chungledown
This is the exact clip I wanted to rewatch, thank you!
I love the backing track in this scene
"We've changed our logo. We're no longer Red. We're blue now."
Some people drink Pepsi, some people drink Coke.
The carziest thing is Chungledown Bims spells run on money. His share would be funneled down into hell in exchange for unimaginable power.
I love the idea of your own banker forcing you to face the wrongs you’ve done to others.
when bro said “chunggledown bim” I knew this was gonna be a great season
Obviously it changes per world and per DM buut I love that in the forgotten realms the real world money to gold conversion is roughly that 1 copper is 1 cent. This means that there is ~$200,000,000 in Fabian’s account!
dragon madness alert is insane
the fact that brennan is this prepared for trust fund legal speak proves that he is the best dm of all time
Can anyone declare you as a nemesis? I know it's not in the spirit of the game, but if his friends all declared to the bank that he's their nemesis? Perhaps there'd be a later plot point about "nemesis fraud" and some legal case.
What I am getting from this is that Fabian is rich, single, and now legal.
Huge. Tremendous, even. I hope Brennan leans into that. Fabian's gold digger arc would kinda go insane ngl
Fabian Seacaster x Chungledown Bim enemies to lovers arc 🤞
Dimension 20 is just a banking show with roleplaying aspects
“you have twenty million gold pieces in your trust.”
“yaah ?”
I want a side quest episode that is just Lou and Brennan. Where Fabian hunts down shingle down bim
Probably reading too much into it but is the blue logo representing Oisin's ancestor? Maybe she took over KVK since she and Kalvaxus were close.
20 million gold piece, 5,000 a month... won't it take like 300 years to get the full payment?
333 and 4 months In fact
I would like to know giw that pay out works even as a half elf I wouldn't want to wait over 300 years for my pay out.
god, the way i saw gunnie peaking out in the scene lmao
God I love Brennans world building
this is really how i come to know fantasy high has a new season…….. how did this get past me…..
So he's teasing Bim has henchmen now lol
20 million GP with 5000 every month means it will take 4000 months to drain that trust. That's about 333.33 (repeating, of course) YEARS
20,000,000 gold pieces, released at 5,000 gold pieces per month means 333 years… damn, guess it makes sense since half elf lifespan but still… as years pass would they release more per month?
Imaging swearing vengeance on someone for tax purposes lol
I have a theory that Fabian will cash out early to help Adaine out at some point
when i saw this video in my recommended and read the title i thought i was having a stroke
A 20 million dollar trust at 5000 a month would take about 300 years and some change to pay out fully.
I'm pretty sure this is the guy that took fabians eye, i made that connection when it happened I'm surprised that he came back
Why Adaine hasn't yet asked for Fabian to help her get supplies for Wizard class is beyond me.
$20MIL/5K is 4000 months. How long is this dude supposed to live?? Obvi you want some money left over but golly
He's a half elf lmao
It’s meant to be enough to live off of but Fabian’s dad wants Fabian to make his own name in the world and get his own wealth, not just be a spoiled brat. It’s not meant just to last his entire life, it’s meant to purposely be a limited income
fabian is 18??? the fucking time quangle, man!
I thought he started at 16, I might be wrong but I think that’s established
Yeah he started older, it’s mentioned on and off
Its because Fabian adventured with his dad for a few years before he started school, making him older than most students in his grade.
Yep. He's legal now.
shorting the dragon gold market
The real fantasy here is him having his mortgage paid off.
I should do a DND campaign where everyone has an actual wage, and their bills are paid.
Anyone on your Planet... makes me wonder if lunar real estate is like real crowded with super villian nemisis.
how the fuck did they make a 9 min conversation of trust funds entertaining?
It’s gonna take him 350 YEARS to get all 21 million from that account
It's funny it will take 333 years to get all the money
20,000,000/5,000 a month =4,000 months... 4,000 months divided into years (4,000/12) =333(.333 repeating) years. So... how long do elves and half -elves live in this world?
Oh I had not finished the video when I did the math. Poor Fabian lol
5000 gold a month would mean that the account wouldn’t be drained until over 300 years 😂
wtf is this from ive never seen this before!!!
Junior Year. It’s new.
Specifically this is a clickbait title as Chungledown Bim's net worth is never revealed here. The $18 million is the amount that would be given to him if Fabian were to cash out and is included in Fabian's trust. How is it that someone making videos about Dimension 20 understands it so little? Oh I know, for views.
Ok :)
Anyone Think that Brennan has become a very hostile GM this season?!
dimension 20 feels like a cast of AI characters to me… like nothing feels or sounds real / genuine compared to Arcane Arcade and Critical Role
don't... watch it then...?
