Brilliant analysis of one my favorite TV shows ever. Makes me appreciate the writing of the show even more. As mentioned in the video, seeing a bald Walt in the beginning of the sixth episode of Season 1 was a true WTF moment.
Thank you! I always felt season 1 was severely underrated due to everyone talking about the later seasons and everything that happened with Gus, Mike etc. And I felt like episode 6 just got completely forgotten in the process, even though it's the episode that pretty much made Breaking Bad...
Solid video. I've always been frustrated with people who bought into Walt's facade at the beginning and thought he truly was a decent, if unappreciated and pathetic, teacher and father. He didn't become Heisenberg; he let Heisenberg be freed from his shell.
Eh ... I take exception to that. I don't think it is that clear cut. In fact, I think that analysis is just reductive. Walt, by any measure, WAS a "decent, if unappreciated and pathetic, teacher and father." Circumstances intervened and "chemically reacted" with Walt ... turning him into what he became. Was Heisenberg always inside him? Sure. There is a Heisenberg inside of many, if not most, of us. That is part of the point here. Few of us see that evolve to fruition, though.
Tough to go against Ozymandias as the best episode. Rian Johnson crushed it with that episode. Crawl Space is probably a close second for me. Very close. I'm also in the minority, I think, in loving Fly. Another Johnson effort that I think was terrific.
The only AI thing about this video is the voiceover, which is made using a custom voice on Elevenlabs. I am not a native English speaker so I didn't want my accent to distract from the video (you can watch my Seinfeld video, that's my voice in the beginning). The script, the editing, painstakingly going through all of season 1 to put this video together and re-edit all of those scenes, that was all me. Sadly there's no AI tool that can do all that, though. At least not yet.
Lol 4:12 prison greeting. You got a way with words.

AI made this
The only AI is the voiceover itself which is made with Elevenlabs, but the script, the editing etc. is all done by me.
Cow house 😂
