Dude his vocal performance here is SO good. He’s gotten so fucking good with his tone and control. It’s just his voice but at 100% of its potential. Nice.
@@JazztheGoose They might be playing it a speed that allows them to perform all the nuances of the song. Also, sometimes bands play their songs fast as SHIT live cus they are either excited or amped from adrenaline. This is probably close to the recorded tempo, or, it was decided in rehearsal to be performed this way. I'm certain Josh has earpieces that feed him a "click" from a metronome for each song. They have to be at that stage by now.
Notice how he never says "God"? Sucks that they have to do that or risk offending people. They're a concept band telling a story with their music. It shouldn't be wrong to say "know me as God" in an artistic setting. Just my thoughts. One hell of a performance though. I love how far the band has come in terms of sheer skill! And Zach fits right in.
Maybe I just couldn't hear it. I was waiting for it both times he hit that verse but I always just heard "Come know me as!" and then he'd back away from the mic a bit. This calls for a re-watch!
He does it in the first chorus. Not in the second... but it's most likely due to it being the last word in the line/out of breath issues. I don't think Claudio cares about saying "God" or not...
He also never says “With the loss of friends” in A Favor House Atlantic. He’s just taking a breath. And besides, the fans could theoretically be the lead vocalists for this band every show.
When the fans sing your songs louder than you can and you’re miked up, you know you’ve succeeded.
Yo!! that's me screaming happy birthday

Exactly. This is how he always wanted to sound, but just took like 20 years of touring to get there.

Perfect pitch, perfect tone. He's fully dialed in here.
@@EternalWithinand he's still nasty lmao
This song is so amazing live. ugh. love it.
I LLLOOVE the tempo they played this in!!!
This deserves way more views. So amazing.
Love it when he sings with his hair down hahaha it is like watching a ball of hair sing :) Claudio you fucking rule
I WAS THERE!!!!!!! GREAT SHOW
pretty boss improv intro
Is it just me or are they playing it slower?
Maybe a tad. It grooves so much harder at this speed, though.
VerySnowy I don't know, it just seems sorta too slow. The jam at the beginning is cool though.

They play a lot of their songs differently life
That's great because I was disappointed with his performance in the last few years. I'm glad he's having less difficulty now.
why doesn't he just let the audience sing? there so into it?
this is better than the starland ballroom performance
IMHO, their performance in startland ballroom is the best.
@@tealiedieno way lmao they weren't even at their prime there..
@@tealiedieHammerstein ballroom was better

but he says God in this video... It's low, but it's there... if you're talking about the "Come know me as God" line.

Yeah he said it. He also phrases it a bit differently live than on the recording, so it's not where you'd expect it to be.

He's a kick ass guitarist and lead sing, but he's definitely not God. Get a grip people. I love them too.
Yes he is. He is God.
