I have depression. My ex didn't understand what depression is. He eventually left me, he said he was "tired of holding" me up, which he never did. He left me after my emotionally supporting him through 6 years of medical school. He actually waited until he finished school to leave. What a f***ing jerk!
never had too many issues being gay. But after pandemic and all the crazy stuff that has happened, thinking things through, being gay and becoming conservative... Never felt more isolated. Nowhere to turn. Been pulling out of it tho.

Interesting pt about not building memories. I grew up in a very abusive and dysfunctional household but hold few memories before early elementary school; and similarly to Calan, only about the 8-10 mark did I start to get a memory base. I've done EMDR and NET trauma treatments and my NET therapist always commented he had to go back to the little kids book for me; which was not true for most of his other patients. I also don't remember my dreams; never have. And thank you for the impromptu review of Heartstoppers. Definitely need to add to my 'to see' list. Thanks for another great conversation!

Yeah ... that's the thing about depression. You don't want to talk to people, so getting help is not an option.
