The original version and the 8's versions are like the completely different versions. The original feels like you're driving in a tight tunnel, unable to see anything except the dawn sky that makes you think everything is slowly wakes up, but you have to continue your journey. 8's version feels like you're driving at night near the bright city so damn close, yet you can't reach it because you have to go forward. @@jevinurdhin8633 I’m glad GBA tracks are getting more love now. Before the BCP (and especially before the DLC for MK8U) GBA retros weren’t great. DS had Peach Circuit, Bowser Castle 2, Luigi Circuit, and Sky Garden. Love Sky Garden and Bowser Castle 2 is fine but two circuits? Really? Wii had Shy Guy Beach and Bowser Castle 3. Shy Guy Beach… well at least it’s unique. Personally I wish they would’ve chose something else though. Bowser Castle 3 is pretty fun. 7 only had Bowser Castle 1 which is fine I guess but repetitive at this point. So many unique races in GBA and they gave us another Bowser Castle. Base MK8U only had Mario Circuit which was disappointing. Thankfully the DLC gave us Cheese Land and Ribbon Road, both really fun races and good choices. So yeah, before the BCP the only GBA retros that weren’t a circuit or a Bowser Castle were Sky Garden, Shy Guy Beach, Ribbon Road, and Cheese Land. I’m glad Super Circuit is getting more love now. TLDR: Most GBA retros have been circuits or Bowser Castles and it’s a good thing the BCP has introduced more unique GBA retros.
My take on this song is that I prefer the more futuristic tone in the background of this song, but I prefer the base and piano-like melody in the original. Both are awesome though 👌
