I always had this headcanon that Neo Bowser City, as this shady-ass metropolis, is a major capital for dark web affairs, like music piracy, and that's why these other Mario Kart tracks were melodically referenced.

For me, this is very ironic because this theme is very relaxing and it was very pleasing to my ears and some cities are considered really loud and boisterous places.

Still my favorite track in 8, it’s been 2 years since I started grinding/practicing this track a lot (it’s also been 2 years since I set that 1:25 in the track that I can’t beat to this day), I used to dislike it back then, 200cc in general, but after grinding it a lot, learning how to brake drift well I not only enjoyed 200cc more I started loving this track as a whole, and also all the times it appears in online I choose it the track, even more if it’s 200cc online. Also if you are good at neo you will probably be good on shroom ridge as well, because some similarities on corners and brake drifting, only difference is that it isn’t raining
The one thing I do hate about the track in general is that it's short. It could've been more if you ask me but everything else is pretty radical and this track is my all time favorite! 😁
