- Only four speakers playing in this video. The TM8s are in the doors playing 45-80 on LR4s. The TM65s are in the factory dash locations and are high-passed at 80 on a LR4. Both TM8s and the TM65s are powered by a Stereo Integrity SIQ 200.4.
Man you got me sold on them Tm65’s not to mention those 8’s like… as low as 27hz FR?! Powerful stuff, i like the crossover settings.

That looks like a scion I just ordered a set of TM8 for my RAV 4 I was wondering how did those fit in your doors?
I'm truly shocked by what those are able to do. Could you please explain what a LR4 is? I'm unsure of what you mean by it and google just brought up land rovers lol
4th order Linkwitz-Riley crossover. Each order is 6dB. 1st order is 6dB, 2nd is 12dB, 3rd is 18dB, 4th order is 24dB. More info here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linkwitz%E2%80%93Riley_filter

@@adamrackard6129 It's a popular crossover to use nowadays, it provides theoretically flat response at the crossover point without having to tinker with overlapping/underlapping. E.g here TM8 high pass at 80 and TM65 low pass at 80 as well.

You say only 4 speakers are playing but no way the tm65 are playing those highs so clearly, right? There have to be some tweeters playing as well. Does sound great though. BTW. I am looking at the TM65 to replace my existing midbass drivers, which only have high pass filters applied to them. That sounds like how you have them set up. How do they sound with the higher frequencies? SI recommends a low pass filter at 5,000hz as well

@@BatdogGarageWell in that case, that has made me a believer that the TM65 don't need a low pass crossover applied. I think they will be my next mid bass speakers
@@michaelbowman7398 I would use a low pass and a wideband or tweeter with them. In this video I was messing around and using them as a wideband due to their location in the dash.
@@BatdogGarage yeah. My current setup has the Kenwood Excelon xr-1603hr which only came with high pass crossovers for the tweeters. So I am running those active high pass only off an AudioControl d4.800., so the only way I can use an active high and low is to run the tweeters off another source(maybe the head unit?) or get a passive crossover network which will add on more $. At that point it would make more sense to get another component set that comes with a passive crossover
